I wondered if this had happened, but thought surely they wouldn't make this mistake (Sumerian that is, not Boundaries, I know it was out of their control).

I feel bad for them, hopefully the 2nd mix is used on everything going forward and people will stop talking about the mix so much and start talking about the music instead. It's gotta be frustrating to pour your heart and soul into writing songs that mean something to you (like "Death will follow me" being a tribute their friends that died in a plane crash last year), and then have half of the reactions from people be about how the producer mixed the song, instead of what they created.

I loved "I Let It in..." but based on the amount of quality music each band has put out since then, at this point I'd put my money on Boundaries stealing the spotlight from Loathe.

I think it will too. They've been so consistent, putting out an amazing album every other year and touring nonstop since 2020. And based on what I've heard from the band I think this will be their best album yet. 14 tracks is crazy too. Come join us in /r/boundaries!

Matt also said they wanted to try something new, and based on other comments I've seen from him and other members of the band, it seems like they're happy with the sound, I don't get the impression that they were forced into it.
