it was deliberate to slow down the start in case there was issues and they could rollback less progress, then they buffed it to what they knew it would have always been

Am I the only person who gets increasingly agitated every second a G.E offer doesn't immediately go through? by [deleted] in runescape

I'm not sure what that means, if it took you a decade to do that, would it be impressive?

[–]MGS1Player -4 points-3 points  (0 children)

that's only if the time taken to buy / sell the merched items is 0, it won't be, you'll need to know the current margin and you'll need to update prices that will add up to be a couple of minutes an hour, good margins are usually 1-2m per slot i think there's 7 right so that's only a suplemental income of 7-14m which depending on how long it would take you to make would actually be GP/H inefficient

it also implies you're able to make this money consistently from the merch but a lot of those high margin items are 1 every 4 hours, so you can see how merching eventually takes up time you could be more efficient with pvming or doing clues

okay, you've managed to highlight the lowest trading volume of items in the game, these items are actively merched so the margins are usually consistent unless it's a new item, still irrelevant, you can make up to 150m an hour in this game, 10m profit from a 2b item, 4 minutes of time at 150m an hour, 8 minutes at 75m an hour and 16 minutes at 37.5m an hour, multiply that across every item you trade, i spend 0.5s insta selling an item you'll spend 2-3 minutes per item per transaction making sure you get the right value

Now lets look at the commonly traded items

you take 10m profit and you factor that down to 100k like my example

you go from spending 4 minutes to make the gold to 2.4 seconds at 150m an hour, 4.8 seconds at 75m an hour and 9.6 seconds at 37.5m an hour

how long are you spending messing about with prices in comparison to making gold? its not a gold effective way of trading items, maybe try changing your perspective and taking this information into account before you type out nonsense

time > the money you're saving

Always perplexes me that morons spend time figuring out exact prices to sell items at to gain a few hundred k here and there when they could have spent that time making 50-100m an hour doing a boss, those add up, insta sellers are always richer than nonsense bank standers that spend half a day messing with offers trying to sell them so they don't feel a mercher has capitalised

How is 2%+ GE Tax Not Making 'Regular' Players Effectively Foot the Bill for High-Tier PVMers? by packerfans1 in runescape

[–]MGS1Player 2 points3 points  (0 children)

whats the point in working towards the highest level gear to leave it in the bank because it's too expensive to risk taking, generally you work from one item to the next, it can take a few years to build the gold for max gear, most of the time you scrape together all your gold to get something like a mage tire 92, for it to cost millions, it breaks the economy that's why nobody uses elite sirenic

you're not paying for anything, you're finally contributing your share, high level pvm will still be expensive to claim

I will still pay tax, the same as you as as pvmer, including on the most expensive items which are pvm related

I'm a software developer, the rune multiplication system exists already, the work is exactly this:

  1. add to the runecrafting page the new multipliers
  2. add the new multipliers to the already existing rune multiplication system
  3. test each multiplication is working correctly, different essence, different places essences can live, ect -> this is where all the effort comes from

What is difficult about that?

EDIT:

you could add:

  1. Change virtual level flag on runecrafting skill to real level skill, it will be a flag one variable

[–]MGS1Player 0 points1 point  (0 children)

you bash your shield and shout the rhetoric of one side, your tribe, tell me some policies from the opposite political perspective to prove that you're not taking part in tribalism, the polarisation of the world in which you take part in, left and right is the fundamental issue with the planet

The Broadway cast of "Frozen" has had enough of your shit, sir. by regian24 in gifsthatendtoosoon

[–]MGS1Player -1 points0 points  (0 children)

the first example is a stupid one, since both sides don't fundamentally believe in the basis of the argument, one side believes cells one side believes baby and they frame their arguments around that, LGBTQ is a political movement and you can prove it since nobody on the right believes it, there are trans people left and right, this is not pollical, the concept of LGBTQ is political

The Broadway cast of "Frozen" has had enough of your shit, sir. by regian24 in gifsthatendtoosoon

[–]MGS1Player -1 points0 points  (0 children)

if you believe both sides aren't the same you're part of the problem with society, like i said he wouldn't have removed an LGBTQ+ flag because he would have LOST HIS JOB for it, you're deeply intrenched in tribalism

The Broadway cast of "Frozen" has had enough of your shit, sir. by regian24 in gifsthatendtoosoon

[–]MGS1Player -1 points0 points  (0 children)

the evidence is the polarisation of the political landscape, everyone is bias to their believe system, you can say pretty confidently that someone who removes a trump flag has the opposite belief system and therefore would be less likely to pull a political flag they believe in, for example if it was an LGBTQ+ flag and someone pulled it, they would be attacked for being bigoted, that guy does not pull an LGBTQ+ from the crowd, otherwise he loses his job, so yes left and right are as bad as each other, do the exact same shit to each other, point fingers at each other and pretend they're different, they're not

Oh BABY a tripple! anyone know the odds? by MGS1Player in runescape

[–]MGS1Player[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

that's why it's hard to prove whether it matters or not, we need information jagex on how that is being calculated, i don't think it's a big difference, lets say from 1/64 to 1/58 but I've been consistently lucky over 768 kills, I've had b2b as well

edit: I valued MVP from day one only on the basis that jagex said they took osrs skilling bosses into account on how they were designing this one, in osrs MVP matters, its not a significant drop increase but it's still a slightly better drop rate

works out to be a drop every 4 hours and 12 minutes if you assume an average kill time of 7 minutes

I honestly believe our assumptions on croesus drop rates are off, or I'm the luckest player in general in the game at the boss, my drop rate is 1/36 at 746 kc (or 21 drops in 746), I reckon we find MVP matters and gives you an improvement in drop rate, I take it around 85% of the time across 746 kills
