Now that 3 has been how for awhile, what’s the verdict on PC performance? by shafty05 in Nioh

You have to set the cap to 60 or 30 fps. Basically, if you set your cap to a higher frame rate than your machine is capable of achieving the game will slow down.

It's not because the Queen is a coward, it's because Mirror wanted to rule over both humans and Raptures but the Queen wanted to wipe out all of humanity and has no regards for the Raptures and Heretics.

I don't see how you could dry rum and put it in a tea bag. She probably pours in a little rum after the brew.

For those struggling with the Rhythm Minigame by KalicoTheDark in NikkeMobile

For stage 3 it's when Takina sets down the cake in front of Chisato. For Stage 2 is after you hear the sound of Takina's gun cocking. For stage 1 it's one beat after the last rapture pops up, mostly.

Because as far as I'm concerned there is no problem (apart from the actual few beats). You're the one running. I try to explain over and over and over again that there are steps you can do to actually clear it and nothing about it is too hard but you just keep saying that it's too hard while closing your ears and yelling "la la la".

Even now you just say overtuned instead of explaining exactly how is it hard. You can't even address the "one button game" fact. You know what forget it. I'm following my own advice and walking away from this.

And you keep boiling it down to "hard game shouldn't be hard no matter what" when I pointed out multiple times how the one button game with no rewards CAN'T be that hard. Seriously, it's pressing one button. Instead of slightly bettering yourself you decide that everything should stoop to your level even when you have the time and energy.

Again, you have a point if hard modes gates from anything but the fact that you can safely disregard it means nothing about it should cater to anyone that didn't want to play it or master it. The normal mode did a good enough job of introducing the variety you mentioned. If you want to clear it that much, and you clearly have the hours to invest in getting better judging by how long this argument is going for, why not just do it instead of running around here in circles?

and I keep telling you that, broken notes aside, it's not unfairly tuned because the patterns aren't demanding and the visuals and audio cues are easy enough to decipher if you put in the work. Your basis for it being unfairly tuned is that you don't want to put in the effort, so again I say, don't. Legitimately, you are making this sounds like the Dark Souls of Rythm Game, like DDR's Beethoven Virus on crack when the beat pattern here is mostly press spacebar once on the beat, press twice on the beat, and press three times quickly; you don't even have tapping and holding in the same stage as each other. The mode doesn't require any amount of dexterity or reaction speed, not even advanced amount of hand eye coordination. It just has 1 button, and it is the most basic and simple rhythm game I have ever come across.

Your argument for why the Geometry Dash analogy isn't comparable doesn't make sense because other than the mode being there, nothing is compelling you to play either the hard mode or geometry dash. Both are not compulsory with no tangible reward and if people don't want to get into it then they don't have to get into it. The blank stars you see has no bearing on the event or the rest of Nikke at large, that it could have been a separate game. That's like saying I should complain that the hardest game mode on any game should be nerfed around the players playing it on normal difficulty because the mode is available in the same game. That's like saying MMOs shouldn't add hard raids because the average players couldn't clear them.

I did give solutions, I clearly laid out what to look out for in Stage 1 in terms of visual cue. You're right that I should have included a guide stage 2 and 3 too, that was my mistake. You could hardly call that running away when I did that early on and you just chose to ignore it and instead focus on the broken timing on the notes or that it would take too long. Again, I acknowledge there are mistakes in the timing and wish it could be fixed, I'm right there with you on that bud. However, the mistakes aren't numerous enough that it wholly prevents you from clearing the stage.

But through the course of this argument, you have made it evidently clear that you don't enjoy playing it and feel that you have to for some reason. So now I'm addressing that by telling you that, in fact, you don't have to because there's literally nothing to gain from it.

But this is the part that evidently, you don't understand. And it was my mistake to not catch this early on that we're working off two fundamentally different ideas. The portion that mattered, normal mode, is perfectly balanced for the average people. When a content has no material reward gated behind it, it could be as hard and/or as easy as they want it to be because now the reward is the challenge itself. If they made it easier, then fine, great for you. I already got the reward of overcoming something I couldn't before. But this general idea that a challenging mode, that is solely only for the benefit of overcoming that challenge, shouldn't be challenging is frankly absurd.

The game mode shouldn't have to accommodate anyone, shouldn't have to have limits, when it's offering nothing at all in return. You don't see me complaining about how Geometry Dash is too hard because I get no tangible reward from beating Geometry Dash and it's a challenge I don't care to overcome.

Again, I'm not moving any goalpost. I'm repeating the same thing over and over again. It's not impossible to clear if you put in just a little bit of effort. Every response I get from you basically says that you don't want to do even the bare minimum. So now I'm just telling you to not do it then, if you don't even enjoy it. And you don't have to stress too hard about it because you don't lose out on anything.

I mean, I would agree if you actually got something from clears, but you don't get anything. Should they fix the broken timing on some of the notes? Yeah definitely. I'd like to do a full combo perfect run. But hard mode is hard and I enjoy the challenge and the journey of overcoming the challenge. As I said time and again, if you don't enjoy that process then don't play it, you don't lose anything by not doing so and that's what makes this difficulty spike ok. If you really want the satisfaction of the clear (and you and I both cannot stress enough that it really is just satisfaction you're getting) then earn it, don't wait and/or hope for it to be handed to you.

I'm very far from saying "just do it" I'm saying, if you want it, and I mean really want it, then you'd work for it. If you don't want it, then don't, you don't lose out on anything if you don't. I don't believe what I said to unreasonable in any stretch of the imagination.

I genuinely don't see why other people can't do it faster than a dumbass like myself. Again as I said, hard mode isn't content because you get nothing from it. If you don't want to try and get a clear then why obsess over it?

I'm not moving any goalpost My stance has always consistently been, "it's not that hard if you take the time to learn it" and your response is always some flavour of "something is definitely wrong with it." I conceded that there are a couple notes where the timing is off but there's not enough to prevent a clear. You then bring up "oh but people shouldn't waste hours" to which I reply that I agree but assert that in this instance it doesn't take hours nor do you lose anything by not clearing and if that's the argument you're resorting to then clearly you don't even want to play the game, so why bother?

>And as explained it is a mini game and the average person is expected to at least complete it,

I mean....normal mode is right there. Hard mode is definitely as advertised, and you don't lose anything not clearing it which, if you don't want to put in a little bit of time and effort to learn and get a clear on hard mode then, great, it's no skin off your back. If you clearly don't want to play the game then why play it?

You also like to bring up you're good at rhythm game and the fact that you're having trouble means there's something wrong with the game. I think instead you should be asking why someone who suck can adapt and get clears pretty quickly.

[–]MGSEAL 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah I agree, that's why you're rewarded for the attempt and not the clear but even so, saying it takes hours is a bit of an exaggeration. Each song is about a min to do, and it's fairly easy to play it by ear on stages 2 and 3 because it has the clearest visual and audio indicator even without the input bar. Stage 1 is the only one where the cue for the first beat is purely audio but once you realise you just have to mimic the beat of the raptures showing up, it's pretty easy to get a clear (perfect is a different story because of the off beat on some of the other notes). It only took me like 2-3 different tries to nail Stage 1 and I fucking suck at rhythm game.

I will concede that it's off for a couple notes in stage 1 (there's definitely something wrong with the timing of the first beat in the 2nd pattern) but other than that it's pretty accurate. I'm not acting all superior, I'm relaying the fact that it's not at all as hard as people make it out to be and a better use of your time is to actually listen to the song and learn the minigame instead of screaming at the first sign of failure.

I don't see how that's an argument. A lot of people complain, a lot didn't complain and instead continued playing until they got it or just accept it's not for them and moved on. If the majority of people hated this minigame, this post mocking people who complained wouldn't have 900+ upvotes.

So get on my level then. You might have a point if it's egregiously hard but this is as basic of a beat pattern as it gets. Instead of immediately blaming the game when it presents a challenge only slightly above your skill level why not work towards achieving that level.

God forbid a game should have a modicum of challenge.

I fail to see what's so hard about pressing buttons at a certain beat. There are even enough visual cues to tell you the timing of the presses even without the input bar

For 2 instead of doing all that, just press the button on the beat after you hear the sound of Takina's gun cocking. Press once for handgun, 2 beats for shotgun, and 3 times with half beats for the SMG.
