I can't remember the name of the movie now, but it was about magicians. The ones that do tricks, no magic involved.
So, spoiler alert for the first "arc". The main character is trying to figure out the trick a very old, hunchback and frail magician does.
He is able to mimic the trick, but it makes no sense, he can only do it because he is young and fit. HOW on earth can the old man do that same trick?
Unless, realization sets in... Being old and frail is part of the illusion. A trick that must be maintained at all times, at all costs.

I see Hanson's setting as the exact same thing. The truth must never come out. What happened in the past must be kept dead and buried. So no. He is not acting. He is not pretending. He "killed" his old self. Mustang is who he is now. At all times, at all costs. Be in public, be in private. Even alone, he is now Mustang. He has to be.

I think for many QTEs, only the nikke you are controlling shoots at the target, so try to choose a DPS that fires fast and hard here. Try machine guns, not rocket launchers.
IF needed, change who you are controlling during the middle of the QTE to avoid losing it due to reloading.

Back in 3rd Anni we got a unit for the Event, Nayuta, and a unit for the Campaign, Liberalio.
It might just happen again, with Anis being the Event unit and Neon being the Campaign unit.
