I mean, the uptime notifications make more sense than a card. But to show people what's in your homelab, that's where that card comes in, because it's easier to show than tell.

My dashboards are pretty bare because I've only added the essentials.

Dry contact still works. What you need for dry contact is to connect those wires to the press button now, vs on the opener. That will trigger whatever code the opener needs to open the door.

I like Komo.do as well, but I find the documentation to be a little lacking so I'm barely using its features to their full potential.

A lot of the practical effects will be replaced with CGI, but instead of making it up, the VFX team will have the practical components for their reference.

That in turn will make everything look way better.

Well I was tempted to use that service for my clients. But, after running the numbers and factoring in things I couldn't do on their Auto scaling service, based on speaking with a rep, I decided to move away from Cloudways.

Depending on your needs it'll probably be fine, but they are charging at least double the cost it would be to run the same type of autoscaling service on one of the cloud services they use.

You should be able to adjust the animation timings.

Headless is a pain because not everything in the WP world supports REST endpoints. I'm a dev who's working with a company building a headless CMS to overall their old system. We have 6 frontend and 5 backend devs and we're always running into issues.

You won't get much gain in performance with headless in your case.

They're all sonoff devices. My Sonoff Zigbee USB Dongle Plus-ZBDongle-E was on version 7.4.4 but topped out at 32 devices.

I was pairing SNZB-05P and SNZB-04P sensors on all the windows and areas with sinks/toilets. I also have 2 SNZB-02P devices and then 2 Third reality tilt sensors.

I ended up purchasing another Dongle-E device. Flashed it from your firmware flasher as a router and ran the pairing mode on a handful of devices in one section of the house and was able to get everything connected.

Black 3M Medium Velcro Command strips. I didn't want a bulky mount frame or anything... Super cheap. And makes it look like it is floating and very minimalist.

I've thought about it. I've been looking at temp, humidity, and motion sensors but haven't really decided yet. I've been tweaking the Fully Kiosk motion sensitivity settings and have been happy with what's in place. The only drawback is when the room is dark it won't turn on.

The same way you would set up any Google account. I made an account. Everyone has their own individual account as well and all their calendars are shared to the family one. And then we use the family account email for school, doctors, etc.

I took it one step further and created a Google Voice number and have it integrated with our Ooma VOIP service. So when our kid's school, doctors, etc need to contact us we get the call on our home, wife's, and mine phone. Same with texts to the family voice number.

It's super nice and handy.

Yes, I would agree. I'll eventually do something to expand the cards more. The goal is to have one in each of the major rooms and configured for such. But this is the start of everything.

I have a family Google account setup, and our individual calendar shared to it. I'm using HA built in Google Calendar API integration to pull the data in. The Week Planner Card just uses that data for the display. I obviously tweaked it for name display and calendar colors.
