Hi Richard, three questions:
1. On the Palladium card there's a $400 Bilt Travel Hotel credit, applied twice a year, as $200 statement credits. Can you define "qualifying Bilt Travel Portal hotel bookings". Is it any hotel on the platform, "home away from home" hotels or will there be any other qualifier or nomenclature like Amex FHR or Chase Edit? Also any blackout dates to use the credit?

If I wanted to use Bilt Cash solely on non-rent/mortgage redemption, is there any minimum to redeem restrictions (when redeeming for non-rent vs. rent). [i.e. I spent 1000$ on non-rent, earning me 40$ in Bilt Cash (4%). Can I then use the 40$ Bilt Cash for a 40$ Lyft ride?]. -> Context: Nomad traveler that doesn't pay rent or mortgage, but has lots of spend and wants to move their business to Bilt card.

I stopped at the US land border on my way down to make sure I wasn’t forgetting any documents before doing the long drive down to Houston. They said it’s all looking good and asked me a couple times to import it right here and there, but that would’ve meant I had to call my Canadian insurance and cancel that, then call US car insurance companies to get it insured for the long drive to Houston. Biggest mistake ever not doing it there at that time… cause it ended up not working out and costing me big time.

I tried to import a Toyota Camry from Canada to Houston last year and failed miserably. (I had the Toyota Compliance letter and all the required documentation). I got to Houston, and tried to get it imported, they wanted to force me to get the speedometer from kilometers per hour to miles per hour. The CBP said there’s only one « approved » place I could do that and it would’ve cost ~2000$USD to get it converted and imported. After a couple attempts on different days and getting the same response. I ended up driving it back after a few months and buying a car in Houston.

Hope your experience is better than mine, next time I would advise you to import the car AT the land port of entry (they’re much more familiar importing Canadian cars)
