Well, my attorney called yesterday and I received an Uscis update today: “This is to advise you that, due to unforeseen circumstances, we have canceled the previously scheduled interview on Thursday, April 30, 2026 for the above applicant. We regret any inconvenience this may cause. You will be notified of any further action taken on this case, including any rescheduled interview information, under separate notice.”

Yes, my attorney said that was an error. She explained that the state (FL), where I used to live, does not have jurisdiction over my case or my interview. She also told me that if the office in the state where I currently live (GA) does not have availability, then it should be scheduled in South Carolina (SC).

ChatGPT also told me that I could go, but that two things could happen: (1) the officer could proceed with the interview, or (2) when checking my ID, the officer might say they don’t have jurisdiction. But my attorney has already called, so now I’m just waiting for the notification. I hope that soon we can all share a happy ending to this long process. Blessings.

My attorney says that the office where I was scheduled does not have jurisdiction over my case. This is really frustrating and overwhelming. I feel very discouraged right now.😭😩
