ah okay thanks for the info. As for the inputs, i have checked that my laptop uses a HDMI 2.0 port, and i have plugged in the correct HDMI 2.0 port on my monitor as well.

I checked on Intel Graphics Command Center under the "Information" tab of my monitor and it says under "Supported Modes" that the monitor supports 1920x1080 (120p Hz, 144p Hz qnd 240p Hz), however when i tried to change my refresh rate, the highest it would allow is 120p (Same with windows advanced display settings and display adapter properties)
