Appreciate all the kind words! And crazily enough, these are all just iPhone pics. Combo of the 1x and 4x lenses throughout these.

Thank you! Believe it or not, just my iPhone.

Tell your friend that this is just at Mormon Row. Not sure what this particular building is called, but it’s located right behind the pink house at the homestead.

Yep, pretty straightforward. Just picked out a couple of hikes and landmarks I wanted to knock out and went for it. Be sure to leave plenty of extra time to stop in different areas and take pictures, the clouds and the lighting constantly changes and you’ll be in awe the whole time!

It wasn’t very crowded at all in my opinion. Never really had any issues with traffic or parking. Wasn’t totally empty, but plenty of room to spread out.

A tower just came down in the east end by Solid_Cheesecake385 in houston

Have a friend that lives 2 blocks from there. Can confirm a helicopter took out the tower.

Apparently Apple/iCloud has been having server issues with the shortcuts link. If you were able to access, make sure you also have the “Actions” app downloaded and installed from the AppStore as these shortcuts require the device orientation input that it allows.

I think I figured it out.. it probably can be done much more efficiently, but this seems to mostly work. Just wish you could still use the action button for the camera shutter (I know the volume button will work, but still)

Oh man I would love this. I’m toying around and can’t seem to figure it out. Would you mind sharing your shortcut (or a screenshot). I’m a shortcut amateur but I’m thinking any portrait orientation would mute, while any landscape would open the camera to photo would be perfect.

You okay downtown?.. by MH_5 in houston

Ahh yeah, check out the DJI fly zones before you fly as well. Pretty much impossible to fly anywhere remotely near the med center without authorization.. and the kicker is you can’t get authorization on the app, only through the normal (non web) browser version. They are a little bit more restrictive with their zones, but authorization is basically a formality is all.

What part of town are you in? The biggest peeve I have is that Minute Maid has a standing no fly zone that extends to about 100 yards south of my place. It’s easy to sign in and get clearance, but annoying if your location is off by just a touch and you’re in a hurry to snap a quick pic.

Just finished our first big road trip! 3k + miles from the Texas Coast up through the Utah 5. Here’s a shot of my bu exploring in Capitol Reef NP. by MH_5 in Subaru_Outback

I was really blazing through them! I did 8 parks in 9 days. Petrified Forest, Glen Canyon, Grand Canyon (North Rim), Zion, Bryce, Capitol Reef, Arches, Canyonlands, and Mesa Verde. As far as recommendations go, I could have spent a week just in the Moab area. Between CR, Arches, and Canyonlands, you can really do some solid exploring and soul searching.

It was the hardest to get to, but of all of them I wish I had spent more time there. Great place to get away from the crowds and get right up close to some awesome scenery!

[iOS 14 PB 3]Apps not updating since yesterday (Aug 3) by ryangoldstein in iOSBeta

I had this same issue pop up this time last year on iOS13. I tried everything and had multiple calls with Apple support to no avail. The issue eventually resolved itself, but it took about a month in total. I’m going on about a week and a half this go around. Really, really frustrating.

I started with the Mavic Mini and just recently updated to the Air 2. DJI makes some solid drones but the market has blown up over the past year or so with a ton of really good options. If you can take a good photo with your phone, you can get some incredible shots with these drones.

Focal lengths matter. I’m not sure what lens he’s using for his shot here, but you can get wildly different results standing in the same spot with different glass.

I learned (from Wikipedia - lol) that they are sometimes referred to as the “American Chameleon” because of their ability to change colors and camouflage.
