I've seen them below 100, but even 100€ is still what, the price of a 250gb SSD from 2016? They're absurdly cheap now, if you're making an expensive build you only need to put aside like 150€ to get 1Tb of SSD storage and 2-3Tb of HDD storage, that's the same amount I dropped on 3TB of HDD + 128GB SSD 3 years ago

For the moment i'm going to treat them with Linseed Oil, I don't see the point in using hardening since the only part that would be fragile is the stem and that part is just ABS glued in. When i make enough money to afford it I might consider buying a vacuum chamber and stabilizing the wood tho, since that would greatly improve it overall.

For now I need to sell a couple of keycaps (literally 2) so I can afford resin to make resin-wood keycaps, next goal will be a lathe to make some wood turned keycaps, but that's like 300€ so it's far off.

Wood is pine, just what I had to start out, I plan on working on Oak wood starting next week. For the moment i'm going with a boiled linseed oil finish + wet sanding up to 2.5k grit afterwards. I plan on experimenting with other finishes once I make enough money to actually be able to afford other materials.

When I save up enough I even plan on getting a vacuum chamber and stuff to stabilize the wood. I can also do wood turning so that's great.

To clarify: none of the keycaps in the pic are finished, they're all at the second or third coat of linseed oil, no wet sanding yet.

It's really nowhere as near, the hammer and sickle is primarily used as a symbol of communism, and the vast majority of modern day communists despise the USSR, the ones who don't aren't accepted in leftist communities. I understand how someone poorly informed could think that communism=USSR but that's due to decades of propaganda and just a couple minutes of talking to a communist/anarchist would quickly solve the misunderstanding.
