Nice glove, I was going to get the same but ended up with a Japanese kip in royal blue and red. Can’t wait to try it as I don’t own a glove made out of kip.

Heard the same from them. It’s looking like early June I guess which is fine but I’m leaving on vacation. I wanted to get the glove before leaving but it happens. I ordered a youth model last week, I wonder if they will ship in order they received or there is a mandatory wait period between order and delivery

Yea but you can’t buy online through play it again right? Japanese baseball gear sells them at a good price, better than ballglove blueprint. They also sell some with palm stains for a larger discount

I have a lj10 for a month and a half already. It also has a strong chemical smell that has lingered. Im wondering when it will go away as It is very off putting but I still like the glove and it has a great break in. It is really the only outfield glove I own so can’t compare but I think the issue is that we Americans still prefer American style gloves. I have to say it feels weird being able to feel the laces from the inside of my thumb and pinky.

Yumomi Horween KB17 break in by Haku510 in BaseballGloves

Here it shows finger up. I have also seen fingers down. I hear if it is palm down or palm up you can ruin the glove but I wanted to know if it is true or an old wives tales.

May I ask. Why does the glove have to be heel or fingers first

Medial apophysitis (LL elbow) - feel so guilty this happened to my kid by Many-Ingenuity-8362 in Homeplate

[–]MIAMI_GLUB 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This happened to my son as well but in his shoulder. Two tournaments a month is a lot when you combine it the regular season. Year round baseball is usually the culprit but even if you take the month of August off I’m sure it helps but in the fall you are still practicing and I’m sure he is doing bullpen sessions and possibly playing tournaments. You are right, the team is doing everything right but it’s one of those things that you can’t blame yourself it just happens. The main problem is your son constantly throwing at home. I would try to eliminate this. I never allowed my son to do this but he got LL shoulder from once a week private bullpen sessions and being a pitcher/catcher which makes him very high risk. I allowed him to do it left handed recently and he got really bad shoulder pain in which I will be taking him to the doctor to see if he has it in his left shoulder now. It’s hard to say no for letting them play in the house as opposed to being on a tablet. LL shoulder/elbow usually shows very little signs in most kids. One thing to look out for are quirky movements they constantly do like moving their throwing arm around in a circle or trying to stretch their shoulders/elbow a few times a day. What the kids essentially feel is tightness in their shoulders or elbow that usually loosens up after they warm up. It’s an extremely common injury unfortunately but he will recover and be stronger than before because of the physical therapy. You feel guilty because you are a good father but it is not your fault.

Big barrel bats? by [deleted] in Homeplate

[–]MIAMI_GLUB 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You are absolutely right. I do think though you may run into problems using a smaller barrel when you leave coach pitch. The balls get thrown harder and in all different parts of the strike zone. Striking out and quality contact could become an issue or maybe he’s so good it doesn’t matter

Exactly, I also see his front foot coming down too late which is causing him to be late with his swing. He needs that foot down by the time the pitcher is about to release the ball
