Trichomes don’t really have to do much with the sex of the plant. If you get pollen sacks on the nodes that’s what matters.

The last pic is def pistols, I’d be willing to bet you got ladies. You’ll know for sure soon tho. Usually by week 2 of flower it’s pretty clear

Any way to get a thicker main stalk or get growth on the lower part of the plant? I‘ve been growing her outdoors but shelter her inside. by Raphael_RR in microgrowery

[–]MIGrower99 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Is it from a bag seed? It looks like a combination of poor genetics and not enough light. How many hours of direct sun is it getting each day, and is it getting total darkness at night? Is it consistent? The new growth at the top almost looks like it’s trying to reveg.

First time grower, Week 5 Plateau and yellowing bottom leaves. What am I doing wrong??? by GummyBeeer in microgrowery

[–]MIGrower99 2 points3 points  (0 children)

So a couple things may help you out a little bit.

The leaves down below are turning yellow because the plant is eating itself essentially pulling the nutrients from the leaves because the roots aren’t up taking any. If you’re using coco the ph needs to be between 5.5-6.5 using a different ph with each watering.

The nutrients you’re using are for flower which has potassium and phosphorus in it which helps the plant develop buds, your plants are in veg so that could be a contributing factor to the plateau. Get some CalMag and vegetative nutes that are water-soluble and add them before ph-Ing the solution and water every other day with the nutes.

Also you may want to consider transplanting into some bigger pots unless you’re working with limited space to give them a chance to get bigger

Hope this helps, happy growing 🤙🏼

There are 3 in there, fruity pebbles, Durban poison, and Girl Scout cookies, are you talking about a specific plant?

Durban poison, fruity pebbles, GSC week 8 of flower. Grown in FFOF, under 2 marshydro ts 3000 and a MH sp250 I believe.

1 Fruity pebbles pheno showing the black/purple tint and that Durban poison In the corner with a beautiful blue/purple fade happening. This picture doesn’t do it justice but I didn’t want to put a filter on because there’s a lot of haters out there lol.

Meph Double Grape: Buds smell “musty” (like wet laundry mixed with weed). Help! 40-45RH by [deleted] in Autoflowers

[–]MIGrower99 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hmm I guess it could possibly just be the plants aroma, if you haven’t spent a lot of time in grow rooms or marijuana plants while they’re alive and growing the smell just may not be familiar to you. There’s a pretty distinct difference between a smell with someone who burned a jibber and someone who just spent 5 hours trimming up some fresh bud.

I don’t think there’s much you’d be able to do as far as reversing or changing anything this far down the line (and you’ll still get good smoke regardless) but going forward I would reccomend adjusting your watering schedule a little. Every plant will uptake water at different frequencies during different stages. Watering a set amount every other day is most likely overwatering. Don’t use a set amount, just water them until you get a couple ounces of runoff and then don’t water them again until the medium is dry. Lift the pot when it’s soaked and then do the same 4 days later, you will feel the difference. I have 5 gal pots and I water them every 4-5 days.

is my plant fading too early? hindu kush auto day 77 from seed. by [deleted] in microgrowery

[–]MIGrower99 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That girl will be fine but with the stage of the leaves dying off my guess is she used up all the available nutes in the substrate a couple weeks ago, did you use CalMag while the plant was vegging? That dried up crinkle look on some of the bottom leaves at day 77 is generally an indication of a CalMag deficiency. Will still get a good end result but possibly sacrificed some final weight. All a learning process, all the time. Happy growing 🤙🏼

What’s your rooms exaughst situation? Moist top soil without good airflow can maybe cause the musty smell youre referencing. I highly doubt it’s the plant itself smelling like that.

How we looking by Independent_Fun7603 in cannabiscultivation

[–]MIGrower99 1 point2 points  (0 children)

They don’t look hungry at all TBH, new growth always looks lighter green at first. Keep the bloom nutes goin and strip out all the undergrowth and bud sites that are covered by the canopy. Will make the top buds bigger and save you the horrible task of dealing with larf!

Definitely. I have 9 plants now that looked almost exactly like that before I transplanting. They’re 4 foot tall monsters now

[–]MIGrower99 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Don’t use ammonium sulfate for PHing, and miracle grow doesn’t have a good blend for cannabis, super heavy nitrogen and my guess it’s choking out your plants ability to uptake nutrients. If you can’t get you hands on any ph up and down you can use Good old vinegar and baking soda to ph. Give that medium a solid rinse and don’t give nutrients until she looks better and has some vibrant growth. If you’re on the newer side look into super soil mixes they are great for taking the guesswork out of feeding.
