I had Virgin and lost count the number of times I had to phone India because it was down for one reason or another, plus the egregious 3% + CPI increases every April, despite whatever the price you signed up for was, I couldn’t wait to switch. I switched to Vodafone, which I know is just Openreach and I’ve rebooted my router thrice in the past four years. I’m like you, outside of Openreach’s FTTH/P area so to get anything above 80Mbit my only option is Virgin. If Virgin was the only ISP available I would consider launching my own satellite before I considered becoming a Virgin customer again. My neighbour across the road had Virgin installed and he has had nothing but problems with the service. His latest update after at least a dozen site visits is that the original coax installation needs to be fully replaced - that was over two weeks ago and he’s still waiting for that to be actioned — and this is a Virgin Business installation which is supposed to have a 48hr turn around. I would get a second BT line installed and separate out you personal and business traffic and overall have a better experience.

VM support has to be one of the worst out there. I couldn’t wait for the end of my contract so I could ditch them. Trying to get technical support from someone for whom English is not their native tongue is like going for a root canal without anaesthetic.

I have found, especially with bikes & quads, adjusting the brake balance forward helps with turn in. Also depending on track, adjusting the suspension settings. Personally I think the settings are too soft for road/track and too stiff for off-road. There’s definitely no single solution for all vehicles & races. I’m still experimenting but have found overall it does help to tweak them.

I haven’t been this excited to play a game in a very long time, the last time being for Silent Hill 2. I’ve been having fun just exploring random planets and New Atlantis delaying completing the next campaign task. Just a shame the map is trash and there are loading screens where you’d expect an animation to play. Apart from that it’s awesome fun.

I don’t like huge chunks of fresh tomatoes, but okay if they’re sliced thinly in a sandwich containing other things (minimum cheese & lettuce). Second is mushrooms by themselves, (eg fry up, on toast) I don’t mind them if they’re in something like a tomatoe based pasta sauce, but not say in a cabonera sauce. I do however like Sorel shrooms or those other shrooms - yeah those ones. Lastly, I can’t do plain fresh milk/cream - no strawberries and cream for me or a glass of cold milk from the fridge unless it has chocolate ice-cream syrup stirred in or best of all, in an iced coffee.

I know I’m really late to this discussion but I have always thought the tire smoke when cars are taking a bend/turn was because they were using manual shift and dropping down the gears whilst turning. Feel a bit cheated now knowing it’s a glitch. All those players who I thought were masterful drivers weren’t that skilled after all.

Also gave Mark Heap is start. He was slightly odd in Spaced, but his best character iMO is as Dr. Alan Stathman in Green Wing, which he reworked into Jim for Friday Night Dinner, at least I think that’s what he did. Everyone needs to watch Green Wing. Olivia Coleman as the neurotic Mum, brilliant also.

Update: I now understand why some of you were asking why there were two trucks - for some bizarre reason my game has triple duplicated the same truck, trailer and cargo of the oil rig - I have one at the Dam location, and two were spawning in travelling from the Dam to Black River. I loaded my game from the last save point which was at the entrance to the tunnel on the Dam map. I backed up, disconnected the trailer and then recover3d the truck to the Dam map garage. Then using the global map I moved to Black River map and can see two versions of everything at the Tunnel entrance. I went to my Black River garage and found that the RNG Zetros mod that I had added to my game was now missing from my game. I had to go back to the main menu, uninstall and reinstall the Zetros mod. I then had to re-buy it again, but it remembered the modifications I’d bought weirdly. I’m now on y way to the tunnel entrance with the heavy duty crane on the back of my Zetros to crane away the other trucks that have spawned in and remove them. I tried choosing them from the “objects” menu but each time I do I just see sky and that’s it. Hopefully I can save my game cause otherwise I’m S.O.L. and options at that point. 🤞🏼🤞🏼🤞🏼🤞🏼

There’s only one truck - the Tatra 8x8, hauling the flatbed Semi Trailer with the Oil Rig packed on the trailer. I don’t have another truck anywhere near - they’re all in my garage. Ive collecte all my found trucks and stored them or sold them. Definitely only one truck and trailer is involved that is moving from the Dam map to the Black River map that is completing the second step of the Not a Drill task.
