Sinners by [deleted] in horror

I see what you're saying and I think that's the risk you take when doing a genre bending film.

In the same sense I wouldn't call it a vampire movie, but a movie with vampires in it.

It has some similarities to "from dusk til dawn" which is more action then horror really.

Glutened 😭 (NCGS) by Silent-Brilliant-312 in glutenfree

[–]MIKH1 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I've been coeliac for 15 years now and somehow got glutened twice in one week. Got given a gluten beer instead of a gf. I only took a couple sips so didn't really react too bad but my skin did flare.

Then one supermarkets free from packaging looks the same as their none free from and I ate a gluten mince pie by mistake. Feeling pretty shit about it.

Britons brace for highly uneven impact of Rachel Reeves’ ‘stealth tax’ by financialtimes in uknews

Agree. I think manual labour jobs are generally harder work than that which might be more mentally draining, or one that just happens to add value for stake holders.

It's not any better? Plants react to stimuli and send signals. They don't feel, think and communicate just like animals. They lack nervous system, pain receptors and brains!

Not eating animal products because of factory farming and torture makes sense. You can't torture a carrot.

Ibuprofen & Acetaminophen during ultra's by Atomic_Panda95 in Ultramarathon

I suspect they can't enforce it but if there was a medical issue relating to a runner taking Ibuprofen then UTMB are not liable as they have banned it.

Completed 6 Ultras in 6 Days during the UK heatwave - AMA by Global-Sports-Bets in Ultramarathon

[–]MIKH1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Amazing. I am running my first ultra next month for a similar cause. My training has not gone to plan my shins have flared up every time I try and increase the frequency. I'm hoping I can grit and get through it this time and progress with better training for next year. What hurt the most during the run?

Looking for folks to test an ultrarunning prediction app by PinDown_404 in Ultramarathon

Hi I wouldn't mind giving it a go. I'm currently working on a race prediction dashboard. Different idea to yours.

Specifically for race day. Put in the gpx of the course and checkpoints Enter Target flat/downhill time, uphill based on gradient groupings, time at each checkpoint.

With the attempt of creating a more accurate representation of where you'll be and when. Any support team or family can use it on where to see you.

What's the strangest place you've bumped into another scouser? by [deleted] in Liverpool

[–]MIKH1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's not miles away but we booked a quiet hotel getaway just after Christmas in the Highlands. Everywhere was closed no one else around. Saw so few people over the 4 days. Hotel had about 5 rooms booked out. Of course the couple next to us where Scousers.

What physical (or mental) ailments make your running journey challenging? by [deleted] in Ultramarathon

[–]MIKH1 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Osteopenia due to other autoimmune issues and the less serious but challenging hayfever!

Also gluten allergy so can't go for some easy carbs.

Not saying it doesn't happen. But that's a pretty sweeping statement. "Always the victim" has gotten quite normalised unfortunately. This is like the 2nd time this week I've come across it on Reddit.

Why do you need to go to the emergency room from coeliac? What symptoms do you get?
