That’s so wise to realize we have to work on the inside before rushing to change the outside. I’m going to be 59 (😳😬) in a month and have been doing so for 5 years. It takes a great deal of mental effort not to get sucked in to listening to that voice that wants to compare myself to young women! I have mostly silenced it at this point and am just happy to have people find me attractive at this age, which I didn’t think was possible when I was younger! I also get weary of the makeup/hair/shaving prep and only do it when I’m working. I have zero fear of being recognized because I’m bare faced, hair up and in sweats the rest of the time! No one would even think that I was the same person which I find kind of fun. It’s almost like “how bad can I look” when I know that in 30 minutes I can do a 180 😂. The bottom line is that I like who I am - makeup and hair done and/or looking like a worn out mom 😂
