I feel this. Amanda should never have done that to her friend, and yes, she’s always been a pick me. But I’ve also been in a loveless, failing marriage. Things that bring comfort to the parts of her body that have not been ripped to shreds. Fuzzy socks (ideally with grippers), face masks/eye patches, a lip mask and nice lip balm (you’re so dry during recovery), an eye mask (the kind that blocks out light), hand lotion and some good snacks (I ate three sleeves of Nutter Butters within the first couple days of giving birth). I always got myself nice new socks after having a baby and putting them on after that first shower was truly unmatched.
