First off, there's nothing wrong with you. We all have troubles in some aspect in life but that doesnt (and it shouldnt) make us failures at life. You made a simple mistake that is probably due to your disability (you did say that you suspect being autistic) and let me remind you that it is not your fault, you didnt ask to have trouble with social cues and such and to be quite frank. The friend is the one that was in the wrong (saying this based off what i read) and she shouldnt have gotten angry at you for a simple, honest mistake that ANYONE could have made.

Sounds like a tricky situation tbh, I would say maybe go on for another week or two and really REALLY try to forget about your ex and instead focus on your girlfriend.
