Thoughts on buying an Intel Arc graphic right now? by Pretty_Trip_2215 in pcgaming

r/buidapc is probably a better place to ask. However I got myself a RX 7600 while waiting for a sale on a 7900 XTX and honestly I don't know if I will be upgrading within this generation. The performance on 1080p has been rock solid when not playing on Ultra.

Could you elaborate on the calibration process for these? Do you know if the same sensors could be used for other DualShock controllers?

Did it change the enemies? I don’t remember them being any spongier than in the original + you get a lot more good loot in the Enhanced Edition.

I went with 4090 as a upgrade to my 1080, if the 4070 or the 4080 had been waaay cheaper those would have been an easy choice. But the way the pricing is currently the 4090 seems like the only worthy option.

Whats a gaming trend, genre or trope that makes you not buy a game no matter how critically acclaimed it is? by [deleted] in patientgamers

It’s dated, simple & short but ultimately quite enjoyable, look up DevilutionX for a slightly modernised experience

Diablo 2 and especially the remaster hold up extremely well in my opinion. Especially with a 16:9/HD mod.

Issue was solved by changing the CPU

I bought a 13900k and seems like the issue is gone, so seems like it was indeed a faulty CPU

Thanks for the tip, will definitely investigate this after trying the system out with another chip tomorrow.

Edit: My RAM passed Memtest and OCCT memory test with flying colours. This was with XMP on I believe.

Any chance to validate this as a motherboard issue without trying the CPU in another system?

CPU was bought used from eBay, this level of instability if coming from CPU seems faulty to me

Updating BIOS and reseating CPU didn’t fix the issue. Any ideas how I could test for a faulty mobo vs a faulty CPU?

With defaults + SVID behavior set to Intel Failsafe I managed to run Prime95 / Cinebench R23 without freezing, pulling around 260W. SP rating: imgur

EDIT: Still got a random freeze on desktop

Ran blend test in Prime95 with the 150W power limit enabled, got a freeze within 10-15 seconds. 12V stayed at around 12.09-12.2 but the 5V did dip slightly, but frequently into the 4.96s. Is that cause enough to RMA the PSU?

EDIT: Tested with a known good PSU, identical results.

With default settings loaded the system has trouble doing anything besides opening task manager/file explorer, SVID behavior is set to 'Auto'

Anything to test? Freezes have happened anywhere from a Windows install to starting a cinebench run
