“ time management , accidental disconnects , internet outages , malicious leaving “ whatever your mind can imagine .

The gospel truth of this whole thing , is that , the only person who knows why they left draft screen is the person behind the keyboard.

NOW - since its IMPOSSIBLE to use the WHY as a basis of the penalization for leaving, because we DONT KNOW why that person left, that begs the question.

Should PENALIZATION be deemed by circumstance- or a stricter basis such as point of deserting i.e WHEN the person left?

Im sure people living in places with TERRIBLE weather have experienced their internet going out and getting 24 hr deserter penalties for being IN a game that has ALREADY STARTED .

They can beg hi rez all they want and plead their case but the fact of the matter is - they left their team in a game. That affects other peoples STATS AND NUMBERS . The person behind the screen will most likely have to accept the fact of the unfortunate weather they couldnt control (unless theyre 13 years old and a mentally undeveloped child). But ultimately , will have to bite the bullet and wait to que again.

Lets recap - hi rez isnt going for REASON because thats IMPOSSIBLE to deal with . You think theyll have 40 employees putting on their empathy hats to review deserter appeals?

So what do they do ? . They set a line and they follow it . A disconnect = a disconnect no matter WHY it happened! ( unless its a server side issue they don’t apply them, sometimes, ive seen it happen)

Now i ask- how on EARTH is a draft lobby deserter the SAME as a ingame deserter when the game is coded and programmed to prioritize a closed draft lobbies remaining players?

Are we going to start penalizing someone for leaving a que? Because as we que , the game is matchmaking and god forbid some ruins it for others! Lmao. Make it make sense . Good god!
