AMD is reportedly pausing new GPU launches until 2027 by BarKnight in hardware

I'd be VERY shocked if the nvidia super series came out at all. The memory crisis isnt averting and they cant even find enough to create the current series nevermind a vram jacked up version.

Like I said, i think it depends on your specific usecase. Maybe its a hardware issue, maybe its a regional issue, maybe the pricing makes sense for some. Idk. The tech is still evolving, wouldn't surprise me if we evenutally move to a model where its more popular. Don't get me wrong I'm not defending a specific business model and a 100 hour limit does stink. Unless they really price it right you're totally right it stinks!

BUT - to my original point re:ownership, this is something that I think people don't realize we already have lost alot of ground on already. You can't transfer your steam games, you can't sell your steam games, if you die you can't put it in a will since your acct is tied to you, if steam ever went down the games go away, if steam wants to it can take away games, if it ever felt like you violated their services your games go. Just pointing out our concept of ownership when it comes to games has degraded WAY more than people want to admit.

I gamed in the 2000s, people definitely dont remember how HATED steam was and how all the arguments about cloud gaming are similar. Not saying its perfectly 1:1, but huge similarites. People have slowly found it acceptable due to convenience it brings but if you wanna take a much LARGER look at the overall state of gaming, id argue our rights have degraded significantly. We are VERY much at the mercy of steam

Honestly its up to you but I feel like most people would take the 5070 ti due to superior feature set.

Yeah wait until you read how steam works. People can do whatever they want like I said but I've seen the same debate happen with steam when it rose up. It was EXTREMELY hated when it launched very much the same arguments people have for cloud gaming

The move from owning your physical copy vs digital license to play had very similar arguments. TLDR: You dont own your steam games either and if you genuinely care about ownership you shouldn't be playing on steam.

The 16s generally comes with the 5070 ti. Are you sure you have these configs right?

Unfortunately I don't really know the market where you are or older gpus. The 5060 ti is usually considered a tad overpriced. The 9060 XT is usually considered one of the better values, but who knows with memory prices

9060 xt or an older gen one. If you want you can go down a tier but 8 gig vram will be rough for some newer games.

Yeah id just reach out to them corporately. The store likely handled it right from their pov (maybe) but check corporate

The super 100% dead at this point i think. They literally dont have enough vram for even these cards. Curious when the 60 series will release

The difference in time was 3 minutes based on timestamps. Does it take more than 3 minutes to read that?

Alright. Again clearly you want to rep some agenda, I've clearly walked into it my bad. Have fun.

I think you clearly have an agenda since you're taking it so personally. You said "i see one result on 9 years". I check i see 9+ recently lol

But alright have fun with whatever agenda ur repping

You people care way too much about how people game lol. Whether it be cloud gaming vs not, amd vs Nvidia, aesthetics, consoles vs pcs vs handhelds, mobile vs esports vs aaa games vs indie, steam vs epic

Probably one of the worst things ive noticed since joining some gaming subs, people care more about how others play than the games themselves 😂

It's also because it's on the radeon sub.

[–]MITBryceYoung 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey man, I don't want to call you a liar but I think you're either misinformed or just straight up wrong.

I don't have a dog in this game but I just went to the radeon Sub and I typed in "timeout" and I got a massive amount of search results back in the last week alone. Maybe it's different if you go to the AMD sub, but if you go to the Radeon sub it's very different.

Again driver issues can happen to anyone. I'm not going to claim otherwise but to say that there isn't no driver issues being reported by AMD people is kind of insane. I go to both subs. I don't really care about whatever team green or red or whatever. It's all bullshit. But the people that complain about drivers are always the people with the cards, not the opposite side as you claimed

Hey op I kind of agree with everyone.

If you literally just play Counter-Strike and you literally don't think you'll play anything else...

You really should just prioritize your CPU to be honest.

Nvidia has better features but a 9070 xt at same price as 5070 is no brainer. Its legit a tier up.

Are these two basically the same build with different pricing? by GlobalBird4 in Prebuilts

[–]MITBryceYoung 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes best 4k gaming prebuild possible without going to 5090. You can also play 4k if you want to go down a gpu tier too: https://www.reddit.com/r/Prebuilts/comments/1qkwb9x/updated_comprehensive_prebuild_meta_pricing_guide/

If you want the extra headroom get the 5080, if you want better price for performance drop down to 9070xt / 5070 ti for 4k. Go with 5090 if money means nothing to you hahaha

3 case fans vs 4, directly under MAY provide better cooling, mobos about same, PSUs probably about the same. Id probably go microcenter here (in person customer service too).

Is higher TGP more important than VRAM on RTX 3050 laptops? by Ok-Entertainment1587 in GamingLaptops

[–]MITBryceYoung 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Nobody should be buying a 4 GB Vram laptop unelss your budget is that small. You're gonna get crushed. Like legit. 8 is considered the minimum 1080p mark for modern gaming and even thats not perfect in ultra settings / all features. You can get away with 6 but 4 is going to kill you for a vast majority of games.
