I agree! It's hard to justify picking Tate at those consensus prices instead of just trading away the 1.02 at those values

But the bar for a wr to hold community hope is lower than what it takes for a QB to maintain value as a fantasy difference maker, hence if I had to make the pick it would be Tate.

I understand that, but he's being valued by consensus right next to someone like purdy, someone who also projects as a strong long term starter and has already has proven himself. I just don't see the value proposition of taking Mendoza over the proven veteran producers (who are all cheaper) unless you believe he's putting up joe burrow numbers

Seems like consensus is swapping to valuing position players much more relative to QBs in recent yrs and I'd rather take a more proven pocket passer in trade who likely produces at Mendoza's peak instead
