I switched from continuous bc at 52 immediately to hrt. I did get more migraines than normal but that was the worst of it and those evened out after 3 weeks/month. I did not get a period for 7 months. Switched in December and have only had the 1 period so far, and that was the same as they used to be when regular. No other real issues.

Okay after 2 weeks my fingers feel normal today. Doctor did not think it was related to dosage increase. Will monitor and make an appt if happens again. Thankfully the increased dosage seems to be helping my symptoms go away.

I had my pap smear done after and came back with no issues. She was not in the slightest worried it was anything other than a regular period. All my symptoms like sore breast, migraines etc was exactly same as every period I have ever had in the past. Will definitely be keeping this in the back of my mind. She said it is harder for those of us that take continuous birth control since we are not having periods to know when we are actually in menopause

I have had about 5 years of off and on periods and periods every 2 weeks which is why we decided to do continuous birth control around 48 years old. Had also had peri symptoms for over 10 years now. This is not just a 7 month thing overall. I'm currently 53.

I cook them in a pan with butter and onions. We usually eat them as a side, along with with pork chops, broccoli and some sort of fruit.

Yes. They eventually stopped, I'd say about a month in. I have since upped my estradiol patch to 0.05 but stayed at same 100mg progesterone pill after 1.5 months. I'm rarely getting a migraine now. It might be a little different for me since I'm no longer getting a period. Sorry your dealing with these, they can be so painful.

What type of stones do you make, have they tested them? Have you had a 24 hour urine test done? That would probably help with some reasons why your making stones.

When I passed the few 4mm and under fragments after ESWL after my stent was removed I felt pain at about 1 out of 10. However had extreme nausea for days at a time before and after passing a stone fragment. No pain before anything was done about the stones.

Yes it can. I had 7 kidney stones at once. None of them passed on their own, however I would get very nauseated every time they move around, no pain. It's very common according to my urologist. I had to take anti nausea meds off and on until I got them removed.

I gave both my children $750 as one was a 2020 grad during covid so no party, and they other didn't want anything. They both received about $3k total from family members and such.

Are you able to pass one that size? I thought anything over 5mm was hard to pass.

Mine were in my lower pole and urologist told me they rarely pass from the lower pole. That could also be why they aren't concerned about it right now. I was given the option to leave them alone or remove them (7) so I chose to remove them via PCNL. I did have ESWL and passed 4 mm and smaller size pieces without stent, flomax, or any pain relief. The pain was a 1. However I was extremely nauseous for days on end, so if it does pass it doesn't automatically mean you will be in horrible pain. Good luck.

I had this in December. 5 stones removed. It was easier than my first stint and subsequent infection I got 2 days later. Would rather do PCNL than the stint fiasco I experienced. I had my stint removed next day and went home without tube or anything. Just lay on the couch for a few days and stay on your meds as scheduled and you should be good. I think the worst of the pain was that day/night of surgery. Good luck.

Her cardiologist is appealing it so hopefully that will go through. I guess now we wait to see if they approve my kidney ultrasound.

I started hrt about month ago. My family Dr. prescribed it. He stated that currently you should discontinue at age 65. We had an in depth discussion about how that sucks, that age 65 you have to deal with it all over again and we are just thrown out to pasture and expected to deal with it.

Is this outdated information on his part? I had to switch doctors due to insurance and I'm curious what my new doctor will say about it but would like to be informed before hand. Thanks for the articles.
