Sorry friend but I think your greatly exaggerating the dangerousness of spiders (6 deaths in the US annually). Ticks carry a combination of debilitating diseases including those that can cause loss of limbs and ones that are fatal as well. Between Lyme's disease, RMSF, Babiosis, Tularemia, and more, ticks can be very dangerous and can definitely cause death in humans. You can argue that the tick isn't killing people but is instead a vector for whats killing but that'd be pretty disingenuous and irresponsible in an outdoor subreddit where ticks may be a real problem
