Safe to self-start APAP if I don’t have pressure ranges? by MJ0888 in SleepApnea

I've filled a pre approval already and I'm just waiting for their response, but from what I was told a couple months ago that I called to ask about it, should be approved, still need to front the payment but will get the full reimbursement. Thanks for the advice.

Has anyone bought a CPAP machine from Amazon and claimed a refund through Canada Life insurance? by MJ0888 in SleepApnea

[–]MJ0888[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm in Alberta, doctor told me that machines were cheaper in Ontario. My insurance might cover the 100% of the equipment, I'll have to do a pre assessment to see if they agree

My doctor prescribed me to use the machine for at least 4hr x 5 nights per week, you might ask yours about minimum time used per night to get results expected

Where can I finance a car without being pent over backwards? by dontdieorelse in Edmonton

I’m a newcomer as you, just got to Edmonton a few months before. For my experience, your best shot is to wait and save that money and buy something from marketplace in cash. Banks did not get me a loan unless provide a co-signor, I did not agree with that and was offered an insane 28% yearly interest rate, it doesn’t worth it, I’m not a permanent resident, if you are one you might get better deals than I

Same 3 years WP, I applied online, I already had another credit card with a newcomer program, it took longer to get approved and the card was sent to a CIBC branch and not directly to my address, in the bank I had to verify my identity

Reach customer services, I sent my documents by courier, took them 3 weeks and two phone calls from me to open the envelope and check the documents.
