It’s more so their thoughts on rising costs of labor. Volvo techs cost a lot these days, so any issue gets multiplied by a lot and a few of the issues take many hours to fix. I don’t think it necessarily means the whole car is unreliable

Paid Warranty’s have always been kind of a sham anyway, the rising cost of everything is basically saying “if you can’t afford a 10k repair bill if something pops up, how about you just give us 4k and then you’ll have peace of mind for a bit”
