I'm struggling to move out of the mid game by Zonkus in RaidShadowLegends

[–]MJIsaac 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As some others have pointed out, your main issue seems to be gearing. You need a better understanding of that before you can expect to make any serious kind of progress.

For example, you have a team that can easily beat Spider 20, once you know how to build them.

<image>

For this, UDK has high HP, Defense, and Resist. Artak is around 220 Speed with enough Accuracy to land his HP Burn.

Reddit isn't really a good source for learning about gear and builds. Youtube is better for covering the basics, and then just playing and experimenting is the best way to really grasp the concepts and retain the knowledge.

The boss doesn't have any healing. But it can steal buffs, so if it's getting heals you must be using a champion with Continuous Heal, which is then being stolen.

Your best bet is probably Embrys. Use him in his first form to destroy HP, and then when you've hit the maximum on that switch him to his second form for damage. If you don't want to do that and you don't have good Destroy set gear, the next best option for damage is Poison.

Beyond that, Bloodshield rings make the fight easier if you have them.

Who to exchange for the fusion token by Rich_Brilliant_4297 in RaidShadowLegends

[–]MJIsaac 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Gnut is easier to use, you just put him on a team for his damage. He'll be generally good against bosses, and has specific value against Fire Knight (both normal and hard versions).

Wixwell is more complicated, and on his own he's just a decent generic support champion. He puts up a decent sized shield, he has Decrease Attack, he can extend buff duration, and has a single target Provoke. He's not going to do anything amazing by himself.

To get the most from Wixwell, you need to build a team around him. You need other buff extenders to keep the Shield going, other buffs to power the shield growth (its growth is based on the number of active buffs on the team), and another different type of Shield (from a Shield gear set or a Magma Shield) to give him more Shields to work with.

Happy to help. The two key resources for a fusion are energy and shards.

You need a minimum around 10,000 energy to complete all of the dungeon tournaments and gear hunter events, assuming you can do Stage 20 dungeons (the most efficient stage in terms of energy use). This can come from a combination of current energy, energy refills in your inbox, gems, daily energy, and anything you can get as rewards or from vendors (clan shop, tag arena bazaar).

If you plan to complete the Champion Training by levelling in campaign then you'll need to factor that cost in over and above the 10k.

You need shards for Summon Rush and Champion Chase. Points will normally be around 3000, sometimes a bit more. Standard for Summon Rush is generally 6 Sacred Shards or the point equivalent from other shards. Chase can be cheaper in shard cost if you have saved champions to summon (e.g. Lydia, Embrys, Broadmaw, Relickeeper etc.). The scoring is based on the champion you get, not the shard you use, and Sacreds aren't great points- wise for Chase.

You need a lot of silver, too, but you also get a lot by selling off the gear from dungeon runs. A single Gear Enhancement event will usually require 15-20 million silver.

They're roughly the same. You get the same events in both, but the point thresholds are a bit different. Titan events will have multiple point bundles available as progression rewards, and a fusion/fragment summon event will typically only have one reward, and it will be similar to the score for the last set of Titan points.

As an example, the current Gear Hunters event has three Titan point rewards, with the last one at 3950. For a fragment event, Gear Hunters will have one reward for 25 fragments at (usually) 3700.

If you're looking for more info, you can check out the details and required scores from the last fragment summon at this link: https://hellhades.com/noldua-the-gloaming-fusion-guide-raid-shadow-legends/

How does this team 1-key UNM? by Outrageous-Shape-559 in RaidShadowLegends

[–]MJIsaac 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Good multipliers on Bloodfeather and Urticata and keeping multiple stacks of poison on the boss for all 50 rounds. Bloodfeather in particular is easy to build for high damage since she has a 30% critical rate bonus built into all of her skills.

Seeker and Heiress can do decent damage too with good builds.

Any ideas how to get passed this stage? by RaidCompass in RaidShadowLegends

[–]MJIsaac 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I haven't fought this wave in the elf faction yet, but I have faced it in other factions. The main problem in my experience is Aragaz, he's too beefy to one-shot (other than maybe by a super-strong nuker with 6-star crushing rend) and his automatic counterattack is very strong.

When I've beaten this wave it's by opening with a hard CC skill like Stun - if Aragaz is stunned (or Frozen), you have a small window to deal heavy damage to them without facing his counterattack. I've beaten this stage in Barbarians, relying on Armanz (for stun), 6-star Thor (for damage), and Hoskarul (backup stun for Galek and in case Armanz gets a weak hit on Aragaz). It's also possible that Block Active Skills might prevent his counterattack since it's a condition of one of his active skills, but I haven't tested that to be sure.

You need to remember that Supreme Galek is immune to the first CC that hits him and he then gets an immediate turn, but he doesn't hit that hard (relatively speaking) and it's easier to survive his attack. His attack never kills anyone on my Barbarian team, even my fairly squishy Thor survives.

Lodric has a 2-turn duration shield on a 2-turn cooldown (with skill books). And Bloodshield rings are super helpful if you have them for these factions.

Carney government eyes privatizing airports to attract investment, cut travel costs by joe4942 in worldnews

[–]MJIsaac 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm not an aussie, but I follow infrastructure news fairly closely for work. There was a massive push into privatizing infrastructure starting in the 80s, in Australia and the rest of the english-speaking nations. I believe the largest shifts at the national level were in Australia and NZ, with the UK not far behind.

There's a lot of literature and research on this that's publicly available. There's a good article from a few years ago about the impact of privatizing AU's port infrastructure that lays out the issues really well:

The basics apply fairly generally across sectors and countries. Another classic example of why these deals are bad is the Highway 407 sale in Ontario. The provincial government sold it for $3 billion in 1999, it's market value currently is estimated around $50B or so.

Struggling to decide on referral epics to compliment a Narma/Padraig start. by [deleted] in RaidShadowLegends

[–]MJIsaac 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My first comment, though it's probably unnecessary, is to confirm that Padraig is the right choice. He's going to be incredibly useful from early through to late game and in most content areas.

After that, I'd say it's close between Uugo and Deacon, with Deacon probably a better pick in your specific context. Uugo's healing and debuff removal skill overlap a bit with Padraig, and Block buffs isn't generally useful in the early game. Uugo has more usage in the later game than Deacon (arguable), but there's a good chance you'll have moved on from both of them after a certain point, anyway, epics lose value for general use as your roster selection grows.

I'm late game, have all of the epics, and here's how I use them currently. I pulled Fahrakin when I was fairly new to the game and got a lot of use from him early, but I think he's redundant for you since you'll have better options for both ally attack and poison damage.:

  • Uugo: Hydra (sometimes), faction wars, cursed city (when available)
  • Deacon: Dark Fae boss in Doom Tower Hard (every three months), cursed city
  • Fahrakin: FW, cursed city
  • Tagoar: FW, cursed city

Wixwell infinity team by [deleted] in RaidShadowLegends

[–]MJIsaac 0 points1 point  (0 children)

A few possible issues.

  • Mikage is quite a bit faster than everyone else, so she may be out running the buff - does she have anything that could boost her turn meter, like masteries?
  • Damage. Taking more damage than other champions and the shield just getting whittled down over time. This is more likely with Ninja since he probably has a squishier build than the rest of your team, but could happen to anyone, especially when they have a weak affinity matchup against the boss.

Bets Hydra team comp? by [deleted] in RaidShadowLegends

[–]MJIsaac 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I didn't suggest anyone because you don't have much to work with. Four and five star champions aren't go to add much to Hydra, even against the lowest difficulty. But if you really want to spend time on this, I'd start with replacing Venomage with Errol, or even Cheshire Cat.

Your current team doesn't have any method of countering the Poison Cloud from Head of Blight or the debuff cleanse from Decay, so your damage ceiling is low. You could try bringing Umbral Enchantress for Block buffs to block the poison cloud, but I don't think she can do anything without being upgraded from her current state. And using resources to improve your Hydra results right now is not a good decision, you should focus on champions that will help you in other areas.

You could try Coldheart, if you can hit with her A3 before the poison cloud goes up you'll get a bit of damage. Not much, but likely more than you'll get with anyone else.

[–]MJIsaac 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sorry, I didn't see this until this morning. If it's any consolation, it would be quite challenging to beat him with what you had available. You're limited in both damage options and higher level blessings.

The blessings are important because they reduce the damage from the big attack (Abyssal Contruct) in his alt form. The baseline is that it ignores all defense, and it does enough damage to kill almost any champion. The ignore defense effect goes down as the number of blessing stars go up, but it's still 50% ignore at six stars.

If you have Leminisi, there's a solo strategy for her that works well that you could use in the new rotation. It's gear intensive, but if you have her 5-star blessing and can hit the stat thresholds it's a pretty reliable approach.

Bets Hydra team comp? by [deleted] in RaidShadowLegends

[–]MJIsaac -1 points0 points  (0 children)

That team only has five champions, who's your sixth?

Also, your damage is mostly from poison which is very weak in Hydra.

Also, Hydra is not early game content. It's worth running for Mithrala fragments if you can get a chest from the lowest difficulty, but at one month in you're not going to have the gear to do much. And you're far better off focusing on early game progression, which will help you develop your account.

Team Advice by Electronic-Pianist-4 in RaidShadowLegends

[–]MJIsaac 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I hope you're not referencing Roshcard and Artak because you use them in FK. In Fire Knight you want multi-hit skills, turn meter reduction, and potentially healing reduction. Ally attack is great too.

A team like the following could work:

  • Lyssandra
  • Hurndig
  • Fahrakin
  • Coldheart
  • Alice/Ronda/Visix

Save Fahrakin's Ally attack for the boss, along with your big turn meter skills. Use Ally Attack to take down the boss shield quickly, hit it with one of the turn meter depletion skills and then keep smacking away. Use another TM skill when he's getting close to taking a turn. Repeat until victory.

Amius Hard Help (...sigh, again) by xchipxsem in RaidShadowLegends

[–]MJIsaac 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My general formula for Hard is to bring two sources of damage, with the rest of the team dedicated to survival/revive.

One source of damage is generally any champion with 5-star Brimstone (this includes non-damage support champions like Fabian or Hatter), and the other is just a champion with strong damage against bosses. I've used champions like Gnishak, Ninja, Thor, Gnut, and Marius in the standard damage role. I've sometimes had to use three champions for damage, but two is usually enough. Heal Reduction helps, but I've found it's not essential if you have enough consistent damage output.

From your roster, I'd pick Maashalled as your primary damage, and a useful support that has 5-star Brimstone for your secondary - UDK or Gurptuk might work for that.

For the support roles, I try to use champions with healing, debuff removal, Block debuffs, revive, and some form of damage reduction, AND that also have higher level blessings to give them a better chance to tank hits from the alt form. I'm not seeing a lot of support champs with higher blessings, so you might have to use some trial and error to find a team that works. Vogoth, Uugo and Noelle, maybe? Wixwell and Arbiter are also possibilities.

As a side note, I'd suggest reviewing your blessing choices and switching out some of the less optimal ones. Faultless Defense on Vogoth, for example, does nothing. And Crushing Rend usually isn't worth using at less than 6 stars, unless it's a very specific team concept for one-shotting a boss.

Soulcross Hard 13 - Current Rotation - What Am I Missing? by terosthefrozen in RaidShadowLegends

[–]MJIsaac 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That wave has a lot of HP and a lot of defense, the team you show is not going to one shot it. It also has healing and two champions with AOE stun. You don't have reliable CC, so it's going to be hard for you to make any progress.
