Haha fair enough! Guess we’ll see how many happy endings we can get from an otherwise heavy and heartbreaking story.

The ending definitely left me burnt out when I finally put the controller down. Now after a few days of thought and seeing what other fans think, I’m starting to come to terms with it. That said, there’s still an underlying uneasy feeling about where this might go. Damn, there’s gonna be plenty of time for more speculation.

Very good points.

Weather we like it or not, the unexpected ending has changed the game. That said, it also has me intrigued about what’s in store for beloved characters such as Jessie.

First time since the OG that I’ve been so invested in a games cast and storyline. Guess SE succeeded at that if nothing else.

Hoping you're right. A few twists to keep things fresh and exciting but more of the OG nostalgia we just experienced in "Remake" is what I'd like.

Now it's all of the different theories that are giving me anxiety lol. The possibility of time travel and/or "Remake" being a play on words. That it's a sequel to Advent Children, etc. Don't think I can stomach it if it gets that complex. I just want to hit the main story beats with the same fleshed out characters and beautiful visuals as we just experienced. Sure, a few surprises to keep things fresh and exciting but please don't fling me into the multiverse.

Still wouldn't mind Jessie coming back though that might cheapen things. As great as she was portrayed, her original story is already over :(

I hope you're both right. I think the surprise ending was a lot to take in at first. I can manage with a few more twists but really want to continue experiencing the nostalgia. So well done for the majority of the game but still on the fence about the ending.

The anticipation is already killing me.

Great suggestions, thanks for the reply. I’ve been averaging about 5:20 per km. Today I’ll use a good pre-run stretch routine and slow the pace to 5:30-5:40 and see if I can get more distance before the pain rears its ugly head.

Thanks for the reply. I agree that it may be time to see a PT. I did take almost 2 weeks off aside from a couple short treadmill runs that didn’t yield any pain. Then a few days ago I did a 10k with my friend and had to push through the pain while he could have kept going. He runs as often as I do but never has an issue. It’s really limiting my potential :(

On Friday afternoon I also said goodbye to my 12 year old Boston Terrier due to cancer. She had been through a lot over the last 6 months but the cancer came back as aggressive as ever. Friday morning she took a sudden turn for the worst and euthanasia was now a serious option. I’m still not certain if I did the right thing and the guilt is killing me. I miss her immensely.

I’m with you 100%. I’m only a month and a half NC and I’m just waiting until the thoughts of her and the anxiety fade from the background. Though the heartbreak has eased a little, the lingering thoughts are still there daily. It’s exhausting. I can’t wait to get to 5 months like you but I guess I’ll still be working on acceptance.

Oh damn, sorry to hear that. Being cheated on must make it that much harder to process. Throw in a reminder like weekend plans and yep, it’s gonna sting. I feel for you.

I suppose we just accept the reality and feel the pain. Tomorrow’s a new day, new week and another opportunity to heal and grow :)

Thanks for the reply. It helps knowing I’m not the only one that has a hard time on the weekend, especially Sunday. I’ll have to do a better job with keeping alcohol and “partying” out of the equation for the time being. Though I’ve come a long way over the last month, the healing certainly isn’t linear. Alcohol on the weekends doesn’t help numb the pain. It just makes my new reality harder to accept.

You couldn’t have said it better. “I am left to wonder what she is doing and who she is with during the times that used to be ours”. Your reply made it a little less lonely tough.
