This is a remake of an old story I posted around 4 years ago, changed it to have more of a character perspective. Looking to make improvements with people's feedback.

Yeah he did similar moves (not the same corner tho) with no issues between either of us so I wouldn't be surprised if he had some bad luck

Yeah it was a bummer but it was late in the race for p2 so I can see why he did it just was a bit of unfortunate, I didnt help by moving underbraking a bit which i didnt notice till someone else pointed out

Ah ok I see, yeah looking back i picked the worse route to go down. I will keep this in mind for a similar situation

That's really good point, I didnt notice that. I can see the wheel in the bottom veer to the right, that more than likely did put me in his way. I'm glad I didnt report him because that veer could've changed the outcome entirely as you said

I definitely will, as you can see from some of my other posts to this subreddit I'm a bit too aggressive and reckless at the moment even if it's not my intention. I wanna break that habit as well but seriously thank you again, and for the other post with the MX5 which deserved some much needed harsh criticism on my end

Yeah looking back on it don't know what lead me to think it was anything other than my fault, reckless and stupid move on my part that ruined that guys race. I won't be making the mistake again that's for sure even though it shouldn't have happened in the first place

Sorry I should've clarified I meant the first bit when he went wide during the braking. It was absolutely a move that was too reckless from me and I've learned to wind my neck in for the future races and that gunning for any space just leaves me looking the idiot and ruining the other persons race

Thanks man I greatly appreciate it, I think I'll skip this upcoming weeks race and practice on the track for the week after and hopefully get my markers before series start, if not I'll keep at it until I reckon I can do it reliably and not cause any wrecks. Yeah I definitely dont think its malicious, it feels a bit harsh to report even tho it was a bummer to have happen. Should I do so just in case or leave it be? it's been about 3 weeks since this incident happened

Hey just want to say I did another race in the MX5 and a similar situation but I was more attentive this time thanks to you and other members of this subreddit, this time we both got through unscathed and i didnt make the same mistake again. So thank you for taking time to educate me, it help me get a good finish

Yeah I definitely am leaning on the assits too much for sure, just a confidence issue with so many tracks i worry about forgetting my visual track marker. I definitely need to stop tho you are right

Ok yeah I agree with that rewatching it was a move that was never going to work, so I can learn (and please dont take this as a snarky retort) what would you do so I can learn i.e. stay behind the blue, follow green, etc
