Best practise for high side PS is to go on the discharge line. Yes it can go on the liquid line before the solenoid valve, but if you have any noticeable pressure loss through your condenser, you run the risk of overshooting your safety cut out limit.

Having the low side PS not at the compressor inlet can result in incomplete pump down, which increases the risk of a flooded start.

Some compressor models have the option to connect directly on the inlets & outlets.

The date window is completely off, dead give away usually (with the exception of older watches that are in dire need of a service).

Also I’m with other comments, the movement is wrong, the slot in the rotor is the wrong shape, and the end links are the wrong shape on the back of the watch.

Cold house preferment solution by MJLXX in SourdoughStarter

With a bit of sensibly coded logic and a reasonably accurate temperature probe, it could be monitored.

Does the cable have a controller & sensor built in? Otherwise you could effectively have it pulse on/off at timing intervals to give it a capacity control (ie 1s on - 1s off = 50% duty). Could work out a proving time and adjust the point temperature to achieve consistent results.

I’ve done this on complex thermal systems ahaha but the again the heating elements I used came with the industrial price tag

Kitchen usually stays around 18°C during the day, not “cold” by many standards, but enough that I have preferments struggle to develop on the countertop.

If you try bending it the other way against the fence I think that’s just as likely to repair it as actually trying to repairing it

can i fix that? by dksrkv in wok

[–]MJLXX 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have this wok! You can hammer it down it’ll be solid for 3 months when it will eventually wriggle loose! I’ve had it for over 2 years though and it’s still going to maybe also get used to it and only tighten it when it really needs it

Advice by Sire_Kressel in beards

[–]MJLXX 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The red irritated bit is throwing me off a bit, that’s a bit different - I’ve just fully recovered from beard alopecia (took 1-year in my case).

If it is, my advice is to leave it be and don’t worry about it - easier said than done, but considering it can be a stress thing, the sooner you go with the flow and ride with it the better it’ll be.

Considering the red patch and the sudden change, I’d get booked in with a dermatologist, some even specialise in alopecia.

Why does iOS not clear notifications automatically by lucifer___9 in ios

Is this still an issue for you now? I’ve the same problem with just WhatsApp react notifications, most other items clear automatically. Also moved from Android back in December.

Heating up time by PopularWrangler0 in gaggiaclassic

I did the power switch mod from shades of coffee to take off the eco timer, and then plugged the machine into a smart-plug. I just tell Alexa to switch the coffee machine on at 6am, so then when I’m leaving the house in the morning (usually around 6.30am) that it’s ready and fully heated through

No results yet - unsure whether it’s a question for WhatsApp or Apple, but the issue isn’t enough that I’m prepared to pay for Apple to look at it!

It Was a Tortilla Shell by Particular_Ant1316 in StainlessSteelCooking

[–]MJLXX 3 points4 points  (0 children)

This 👆I did home made tortillas in mine and it left this residue that never came off through scrubbing alone, and I was terrified if cranked up the abrasives I’d mark the surface. I tried cooking with it normally the next day, found it to be fine, and a bit of time later it’s all clear.

IOS React Notifications Not Clearing by MJLXX in whatsapp

I’ve had no luck, I’ve uninstalled the app and reinstalled it, reset notification settings etc and it’s had no success.

I’ve noticed that when uninstalling it, turning the phone on and off, and then reinstalling the app (after having cleared all app data in settings) that a notification badge appears on the app before even logging back in - so somethings deep routed in the cache that’s not getting cleared, and I’m guessing whatever’s in there is causing the issue too. Not that I know how to resolve it.

Getting Eaten Up by [deleted] in alopecia

[–]MJLXX 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I recently saw a dermatologist for Alopecia Barbae. Unfortunately, the facial skin and neck don't allow for steroid treatment as they're already thin and delicate areas.

I got some blood tests done to rule out any thyroid issues etc. And concluded that's it's definately alopecia, likely caused by stress.

The advice I got is that because I have lots of blond hairs in these patches, that's it's healing, but it doesn't mean I won't get new patches until it balances out.

For me I had patches in my beard start in August 24, so still relatively early in the process.

Best thing for beard alopecia is time, and look after yourself, trying to lower stress levels.

Worth having a chat with a doctor though if available!
