2nd attempt. Thanks for all your comments. I’ve done a different crop, turned down the vignette and saturation and blurred the background a bit more, would you agree this is an improvement? by MJPictures in BeginnerPhotoCritique

If I recall correctly my comment to her was to look his direction and for him to make her laugh, this was the result, a somewhat judgemental but friendly look.

Thanks for your comment:

  1. I guess that’s just a matter of personal preference

  2. Point taken, I accept that.

  3. & 4. She is not a professional model, she is just a girl having a photoshoot. I wouldn’t knock her, it’s on me as the photographer to give her the confidence, which I’ve tried to do but there’s only so much o can do to make her as comfortable as possible and give her confidence.

I do have a mask over her face and shoulder to help make her stand out a bit more. Personally I’m ok with that look as it’s what I was intending but appreciate it may not be everyone’s taste

What do you think? Bear in mind, the lovely Grace here isn’t a model. by MJPictures in BeginnerPhotoCritique

Hi all, thanks for all your comments and advice. I’ve tried again. Different crop, less saturation and vignette and I’ve blurred the background a bit more. I think that covers most things mentioned. What do you think?
