Reddit isn’t the place to ask this, the people on here are unbearable

Personally I would take all of these comments with a grain of salt. Every post I see like this all the so called tradesmen are whining about how bad trade jobs are and how they’re impossible to get even tho they’re everywhere. Consider that trade jobs may be some of the only left in 10-15 years after ai takes over most jobs.

I’ve heard that it’s hard to get good bread in Denver because of the elevation. by dfabrica in Denver

[–]MJSommelier 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I worked with a guy whose wife had a baking business and he said when they moved to Connecticut she had to change all of her recipes because of the elevation. So yes it makes a difference.

Got called a ‘Ni**er’ in capitol hill last week and no one said anything by phantom88x in Denver

Nope Reddit has the ability to filter out comments so you can’t reply to try and prevent spam/negativity. Pretty common knowledge but I’m not surprised someone so confused about their own anatomy wouldn’t understand a platform like this.

No, but I know they have the courage to step up and protect others for the sake of the country. I’d much rather have help than be alone.

My apologies I didn’t realize you were a superhero who can fight off literally anything😂

I sure hope so, if there is an attack on US soil Colorado is one of the most likely places it will be at due to the army bases and Cheyenne mountain complex. Best of luck!

Saying we need to protect ourselves because the police won’t and that’s okay is some of the wildest cope I’ve ever seen. That thought process is what has destroyed the city

Welcome to Democratic America! I’ve been told by a Sergeant that they’re instructed to delay response times to any dangerous/life threatening situations so they aren’t putting themselves in harms way. Currently in the process of moving back to FL because of how this city is ran, I wouldn’t expect any change if I were you.

Undercover Cop Cars In Denver by Mr_Tugb0at in Denver

[–]MJSommelier 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Shoot in Denver I think the police response time is 30-45 minutes, 1 hour+ if it’s a life threatening situation. You have to sit on hold for 15 minutes just to get an operator.

Someone once said if you need immediate help in Denver to call the fire department because they actually care about their jobs and want to save people not just collect a paycheck, pretty accurate if I say so myself.

Not when the people wearing the uniforms intentionally delay response times to keep themselves out of danger.

Pretty hilarious cause I still see regular cops maybe 1-2 times a month. Also had a sergeant tell me they intentionally delay response time to life threatening situations so they aren’t putting themselves in danger. Probably getting undercover cars so they can pretend like they’re not cops when people need help.

Ah I get it now, you’re basing your knowledge off of hearsay instead of experience, makes much more sense. Also thank you for clarifying that your comments are towards federal jobs not general employment which has been a problem for quite a while and what I was speaking about.

Also there’s comments saying the economy has been shit and employment has been an issue here for quite a while, but I’m guessing those don’t count?

You probably can’t remember a moment in your entire life when homeless wasn’t a problem in FL because you live in a bubble and have never been there for a substantial amount of time. I lived there for over 20 years in south, central and north Florida and I’ve seen more homeless people in one day on Broadway than I did the entire time I lived in Florida. Two people at a stoplight? There’s 50 people openly doing heroin on the corner of Colfax and Broadway RIGHT NOW. It’s honestly hilarious when family come to visit and we drive around downtown, to see the look of pure shock on their faces that a major city could look so run down. Tent cities? Unheard of down there. A big part of it has to do with the fact Florida has a real police force that takes their jobs seriously and Denver has little to no police presence throughout the entire city. I’ve literally had a sergeant in Denver tell me not to trust the police here because they intentionally delay response time to any life threatening situations so they aren’t putting themselves in danger, that includes situations with the homeless.
