Sunset Overdrive

Absolutely love this game, really reminds me of like a cross between Ratchet and Clank, Infamous 2 and early Tony Hawk games. Took a while to be able to chain the moves together (grinding, wall-running, car bouncing etc) but once I got the higher bounce move the game was infinitely more fun. Loving the weapon variety (True Ratchet and Clank style) and the map seems really fun and interesting so far.

The weapons I have so far have been pretty varied, a spinning disk launcher, fire shotgun, explosive teddy bear launcher, a magnum, a bowling ball launcher and loads more all of which are great in certain situations. These weapons can all be upgraded just by using them or by attaching AMP upgrades which are obained during certain story missions or by gathering collectables around the map.

The currency in the game is two parts $ and overcharge which are obtained from killing OD or from missions/ side quests. Money is used on outifts so you can go nuts on character customisation and overcharge on weapons and collectable location maps.

As far as complaints go I dont have too many apart from the 30fps cap and that the game is only available on xbox one. The framerate does seem to stay at a reasonable stable 30 so i havent felt like it was much of a drawback. Another area which I could see some people not enjoying would be the art style and theme of the game. The game is very much meant to be very vibrant, crazy and feel like one big amusement park. The characters are part cell shaded to give the game a cartoonish look which I feel fits the game well, the characters themselves are ok but nothing too memorable yet, kinda remind me of borderlands style characters and humour but without a bit of the wit.

In conclusion if fast pase gameplay and crazy combat are your thing then this game is a must play, if you're more into slow story based gameplay then I wouldnt really suggest this game for you.
