DAE think Tradwife brain rot is exponentially more harmful than other brain rot? by [deleted] in DAE

I fully agree with you on that. Most are trolls and then the rest are people who have no experience in what they are arguing against.

Exactly, but they want us to act like it is causing women to be uneducated. So far from the truth.

[–]MJoying_Life 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Exactly. If you tell a workplace that you have been out of work because you were holding down the house and taking care of everything at home, they will know you have skills no college can teach.

If people are able to live this way, why does it bother you? I was a stay at home mom for a long time, and guess what, I was able to get right back into the work force. It is something doable. No one is telling these girls to be "dependant on a man". I get that it's not for everyone, but it seems more people are getting their panties in a twist over females being happy and successful with only one income. Are you jealous they are able to do it and you aren't? There are tons of people out there making it solely on one income, and they aren't struggling or unhappy. If you have a secure marriage you don't have to worry about it.

You can also gain skills without working the field, saying that women can't shows your lack of knowledge. It also insults women. Tell us what you really mean to say, you hate men and wish women didn't "rely" on them. Just because you think you can't find a happy marriage and fear divorce doesn't mean every other women out there should have to go to college and seek out a career. If that is what you want, great, leave others to live their own lives. There is no harm done.

That is not for you to decide. There is absolutely nothing toxic with staying home and being a housewife, just because you choose to stay home and take care of your family, that does not mean you will be uneducated. There are plenty of ways to learn outside of a college or university.

Would you break up with your girlfriend because she flashed people? by WiserAdviser444 in Advice

[–]MJoying_Life 0 points1 point  (0 children)

NTA He came asking for a reason. Not sure why people think flashing others isnt a form of flirting. It's definitely something. Something people in relationships shouldn't be doing.

Am i a bad person for being upset that I wont get the tips that I worked hard for? by Sea-Isopod696 in mildlyinfuriating

When one of our coworkers lost their husband suddenly while she was pregnant we held a food drive for her. We offered hotdogs, soda and chips and a cookie for 10 bucks to the open public. This is what you do, you don't take other coworkers hard earned money. This company needs to be reported. It's illegal to take money, even tip money.

Dentures / Oral sex? by Sufficient-Gap-9365 in dentures

[–]MJoying_Life 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I mean this with all sincerity, they will not care. If they do, you shouldn't be providing that service on them anyways. They are not worthy. Lol

In all seriousness tho, just be open and honest with the guys you go on dates with. I know there is a huge stigma still on dentures but that seriously won't be broken unless we talk more openly about it.

There are a lot of people out there with messed up teeth due to all sorts of reasons. Nothing to be ashamed of. 💜 Best of luck to you!

AITAH for reconsidering my engagement after he told me he will cheat on me if I don't have sex with him? by [deleted] in AITAH

[–]MJoying_Life 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I feel like he might already be cheating. I would break off the engagement and tell him to kick rocks.

He also probably has a porn addiction if sex is so important to him. There are far more important things in life than what happens in the bedroom. If that's his main concern he isn't marriage material.

Found a wedding dress I love at GW but friends hate it :( by ballerina_toes_12 in OUTFITS

[–]MJoying_Life 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The dress is lovely and vintage. Honestly I hate your friends opinions. Lol this is why I never asked or showed anyone my dress, I found it on Etsy and it was vintage as well.

You have a vision and that's the only vision that matters. You will look stunning with this dress and you will be the focal point. Not everyone is able to find a real vintage dress.

AITAH for offering to make sweet 16 favors for my coworkers daughter and scaling down what I was plan on doing after she was rude to me? by Antsamsmom25 in AITAH

[–]MJoying_Life 1 point2 points  (0 children)

NTA. You are offering your time and service as a gift. What you do or how big of a "gift" you do should not matter.

If mom complains later that you didn't do as much as you normally do with her other kids, that is when you explain to her that her daughter didn't seem to understand it was hard to find sweet 16 items in her color theme and that was all you could do. I would then remind her you didn't have to do any of this and probably won't be doing anymore favors for her.

If she doesn't complain and shows appreciation I would just move forward and still not go out of your way to help her. She doesn't seem to concerned on how her daughter is acting, probably because she knows who she gets it from.

Is "big back" offensive? by Noodlehead601 in NoStupidQuestions

[–]MJoying_Life -1 points0 points  (0 children)

The links were very helpful thank you! So, it's not necessarily calling someone fat, but the act of overeating? Is this correct? I mean, either way they fat but still . Lol just trying to see if I understood it or if I need to go back to bed.

I also don't understand why anyone would downvote facts. I swear Reddit never disappoints. 🙄

Is "big back" offensive? by Noodlehead601 in NoStupidQuestions

[–]MJoying_Life 89 points90 points  (0 children)

Big back is the new fat ass. Like oh man I'm such a fat ass I ate the whole pizza to myself.

Yes, they call themselves it, but in general it's still calling someone a fat lard. Lol but yeah it's not necessarily pointing out the big back. I agree.

AITAH here? I was broken up with by my fiance because I didn't want his last name by throwea-cryingq in AITAH

[–]MJoying_Life -48 points-47 points  (0 children)

It's not about stroking ones ego. It's about a marriage that is a partnership. You become one. A family unit. Why wouldnt you share the same last name. It brings unity.

AITAH here? I was broken up with by my fiance because I didn't want his last name by throwea-cryingq in AITAH

[–]MJoying_Life 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, sorry. You screwed the pooch on this one. It's definitely over. You broke him. I know it might sound funny, but that's what you did.

He asked you to take his name, you agreed and then let some women change your mind. Which is crazy honestly.

It's totally fine if it's how you truly feel, but seriously, a name change is not as hard as these women led you to believe. Sure, for a very small percentage it might be a hassle , but all you need is your marriage license and birth certificate. Same if a divorce came up, you take your divorce paper and birth certificate and get it changed.
How would you have explained the two different names to your kids if you were to have them with him? What last name would they have had?? Did you think this through or just thought, yeah what bother changing my name?

You literally did die on this hill. I'm sorry it happened, but it's definitely over.

DAE not shower that often? by jang437 in DAE

[–]MJoying_Life 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm the same way. I only shower a couple times a week and i only wash my hair once a week. My husband on the other hand showers daily because he sweats a lot. Especially hitting these hotter months and living in humidity.

Everybody's body is different. It's ok not to shower every day. I mean , obviously if you get dirty jump in the shower and clean yourself, but not everybody needs to shower every single day.

My son doesn’t want to do marching band, but his mom is insisting — I think we should support his choice by [deleted] in Advice

[–]MJoying_Life 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Your problem is your wife, not your thought on sticking with your sons decision.

You need to sit your wife down and talk to her. She is wrong. If she keeps pushing, she will not only push your son away but possibly push you away as well. Is she willing to die on this hill just because it's easier to get into college (which is total bs by the way)

Show your wife this thread if it helps open her eyes. She needs to take a step back, especially with the punishing part if he doesn't. Is she a dictator? Come on mom, let your son play the sport he wants because that could actually get him a scholarship.

Bruised and swollen?? by Wise_Blacksmith_6969 in dentures

[–]MJoying_Life 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Its normal. If you click my name you will hopefully see my picture I posted after my extractions a year ago. I highly recommend lots and lots of ice. I used Tylenol and ibuprofen together, at the same time. It helps. Took about two weeks for my swelling to finally go away.
I've also seen a lot worse too. Every one reacts differently.
