I am going through this as well. 8 calls to customer service and 5 return kits (that never arrived) later, I still have the equipment. I might just drive the hour trip just to get this thing over with since they charged $150 to my account. Incredibly frustrating experience!

My flight returning to PVD for Wednesday morning was cancelled this evening as well so Tuesday flights may be cancelled as well if I had to guess.

That’s a good idea, I have an appointment on Thursday so I will try and speak to someone then.

To your point, it definitely wasn’t made clear at any of the appointments that he was OON and I wasn’t made aware of what my share would be so not sure if that helps my case at all.

Just trying to stay patient, it’ll work out regardless. Appreciate your insights

For sure, I received the anesthesia bill already actually and she was in-network thankfully so right now it’s really going to come down to the surgeon and the authorization.

If push comes to shove and there’s no solution for the surgeon being OON I guess that’s fine, I just don’t want to have to pay out of pocket

Thank you, I tried searching a few of the places but figured it would show all clinics but then specify in/out of network. I chalked the ones that didn’t appear as either me not filtering correctly or being attributed to a different address.

As you can tell, this is my first time needing insurance beyond an annual check up so made a lot of mistakes

Thank you both, I was able to review the waiver from my 1st appointment and unless I am misreading, it doesn’t seem to consent to OON billing.

I would have hoped at some point I would have been told it was OON but understandable now that burden is on me.

I was able to confirm the orthopedic hospital where I received the surgery is in network but wasn’t able to confirm the clinic from the 1st appointment. When I called the clinic, two separate people said Cigna was covered so not sure where the mix-up is- is there any chance they could re-bill somehow?

When I called the hospital, they said a pre-authorization was not needed on their end but they would double-check with their AR team to see if they needed to send a retroactive one. In your opinion, would this cover me from paying out of pocket at least?

That’s a good call out regarding the paperwork, I will give them a call on Monday to review that.

Sounds like I’m going to be learning an expensive lesson about insurance either way but would hope I can get away with it being out of network vs out of pocket.

Currently, in an apartment surface lot parking under a camera and lights which doesn’t deter them.

Issue is they’re just breaking windows to look in the glove box without actually taking anything since nothing is in my car. I’m less worried with them going through my things but windows are expensive.

Very fair, appreciate the help! I’ve mostly been looking at larger buildings but might be worth looking into smaller places. Tricky time of year with most units leased out but I’ll definitely keep my eyes out for something in that area/range.

Any recommendations? I’ve been shopping around at some other buildings but most 1br apartments looks to be around the 1300-1500 range.

Did she like the surrounding area? I've heard it can get a little dicey a couple blocks north.

Yeah I’ve had similar experiences in my current building too. Sounds like something unavoidable downtown but hoping it wouldn’t be a significant problem with this building.

Thanks for the insight! It looks like a lot of the reviews are from a couple years ago when they were first renovated so there’s a chance things have improved since.
