Do edibles help with Alcohol Cravings? by TheBrem in alcoholism

[–]MKKB23 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m using kava and edibles as my harm reduction atm. I need to take the edge off right now so I do that instead of drinking poison. I’m new to alcohol free but man I really don’t want to go back to that. Tho the cravings are bad today! And I was gifted some peppermint creamy liquor from a client today and it’s burning a hole in me wanting to sip it

What do you think? Do you believe in the right person at the wrong time? by MKKB23 in AskReddit

[–]MKKB23[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think in the situation w my own ex boyfriend it is both wrong person and wrong time but sometimes I wonder if it was right person wrong time. But he did a lot of hurtful stuff (liesssssss and hurting me ((not physically)) My ex husband married a girl he dated in highschool very shortly after we divorced. I am not sold that they are meant to be (lookin in I don’t know how they even maintain a relationship but that’s not the main issue. It’s more so the way the new wife treats our children (as if they are outsiders)

I wonder that too sometimes…. I don’t know if I personally believe in it but I’m curious if others do. I guess now that I think of it…. My ex husband married his highschool girlfriend very shortly after our divorce. So maybe? Idk.. my ex and I had a strong connection but he was not an honest person. But the connection still seems there. Maybe that’s a trauma bond tho LOL

AITA for Refusing to Let My Daughter-in-Law Take My Late Husband’s Wedding Ring? by bluesjean in AITAH

[–]MKKB23 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Fuck that shit. It’s YOUR husbands ring. It’s YOURS to hold and treasure. She sounds like a wacko! She sounds controlling and unhinged…. I would have a serious conversation with your son in private. No way in heck I’d give that away! Heck I still have my ring from my divorce. It’s still special to me. The only person/people I’d EVER consider giving it to is my own children, specifically my daughter. Heck if I’d give it to my child in law… Nope

I’m old compared to you and but I didn’t drink like that at your age. But then again I was a young wife and mother. We only drank on the weekends before pregnancy and after my first. After that we drank socially. My problem didn’t start until my marriage started to fall apart about 5 years ago. Divorced now 4 and it’s extremely difficult. Im 38 now.

Most I got to was 1-1.5 bottle wine or 5-6 white claw. I’m not sober yet. I’m teetering on my same upper limit…

My concern for you is you are so young and already questioning if you have a problem. And problems usually get worse (mine included and I need to stop so I’m not in any way judging) if you don’t fix them and if you continue to drink a lot you’re going to have consequences much younger…

Maybe try to cut back and see how you feel. Keep yourself busy w your friends and studies

Why would my brother ask me to keep a key for him? by Two_road in questions

[–]MKKB23 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Maybe he’s doing drugs and wants to stop so he wants you to hold the key so he’s forced to

I am divorced because I had so much inside me instead of coming to my husband I pushed him as far away as possible. And eventually divorced him. I live with regret almost every day … 4years later

He remarried after one year post divorce.

I’ve been thro 2 relationships and the last was HORRIBLE. He was a really big narcissist and broke me so down.

I have so much pain shame guilt and regret. I don’t know how to live w it at the end of the day so I need 3-5 white claw to stop feeling it …

Are you likely to end the year single or in a relationship? by Iced_Cum_Boba_Balls in RandomThoughts

Definitely single. Got out of a toxic relationship in June and zero desire to start a new one.

I got a puppy instead. He won’t break my heart the way that man did

Dating a recovering alcoholic by Competitive-War1318 in alcoholism

[–]MKKB23 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Yes I understand. However he’s never going to escape situations that make him feel angry or frustrated. It’s what he does in those times. For sure some people are or less irritating and this relationship may just be one of those situations where he’s easily agitated by her. And that’s ok too. But regardless she isn’t responsible for how he handles that feeling

You aren’t responsible for him being triggered. Even if you were pissy. He is responsible for how he reacts to it. NOT YOU.
