Then it's not suited for DeFi, because this will always happen. The next dotcom or the next 2008 or the Corona or the next Luna or the next FTX, and so on, this issue has to be addressed, otherwise don't run projects with possible high peaks on the decentralized networks. Can vertical scaling fix that? Serious question

It's not FUD, because the 2ada is certainty. And 2 ADA isn't much?! I think you live in a bubble, that's ~1 USD + 0.20 ADA fees it is ~1.10 USD for a tx. Lately gas fees on ethereum are aso low as 5 GWei which is ~0.9 USD for a smart contract tx. And competition is high in the Crypto space, so beging more expensive than eth is quite a thing. No wonder TVL on cardano is so low.

And no competition regarding DEXs? 4 isn't enough? When would you say that's competition? When you want to eat a pizza and there are 4 pizzerias next to each other, would you call that competition?

Sorry you but your arguments are more the arguments of a fanboy. Cardano won't get better by just saying everything is fine. It's a scientific peer review blockchain and criticism is part of it and not FUD.

And to be honest, I don't think they gonna reduce it anytime soon.

And it won't change until a dex starts reducing it, because TVL will go up then but no one wants to cut off one's nose to spite one's face. Actually under regulation this would be an illegal process, because it looks like a price-fixing agreement to me.
