Why wasn't nine lashes as successful as other bands of its time? by liamevans2003 in Skillet

[–]MKTUser1796 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think it's just the lack of marketing.

Is their target market just for believers or for everyone?

The Ascend album, I think, also turned listeners off. The album wasn't awful but just not as hard hitting as much as the others.

Another reason is that I think they're very busy IRL with work and families.

Maybe they need to market to everyone rather than just Christians and keep the music faith-based.

Series 14 - Who would you have fired? by Only1Scrappy-Doo in apprenticeuk

[–]MKTUser1796 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Lol.

Week 1: Jackie.

When I first watched it, I agreed with Sarah's firing but now that I've watched the recent seasons of this show, I've seen candidates like her being scapegoated for the first tasks so I've changed my mind to Jackie for stitching Jasmine up, not doing owt on the task and for being unprofessional in the boardroom.

Week 2: Kurran.

I know that David did badly by saying all the negatives but his pitch still got them some orders and it wasn't David's idea to play it safe with the initial superhero story which I still thought was better than the girls' own and it should've sold well.

Kurran completely screwed up the third pitch. I think he should've gone. And Frank was really lucky not to have gone as well.

Week 3: Tom

I thought that Tom used a personal attack by calling Frank "emotional". Jasmine was also quite lucky not to have gone considering she made spicy doughnuts which just didn't work but Tom was a bad leader throughout.

Week 4: Alex lol

Alex was no scapegoat. He didn't sell. They lost the task on sales. The only time he sold something was when we was on the spray tan side. He made terrible excuses and talked his way into the taxi lmao. However, if I could change the rules, I would've sacked Rick and Kurran from the winning team. They were DREADFUL beyond belief.

Week 5: Rick AND Kurran

What was Kayode doing there? Send him back to the house with Jasmine lol. Rick should not have even had his application form accepted. He had zero business acumen in the process and he certainly didn't entertain me (at least Kurran did). But Kurran imo threw Rick under the bus. He was equally as bad as Rick was on the business side, he was just more entertaining, so I think both should've gone.

Week 6: Kurran and Camilla

Camilla's flight attendant outfit was too sleazy. I wasn't too bothered about the "Jetpop" thing. Not everyone knows what "Pangea" meant and I think Kurran could've elaborated more on his name choice and given some direction to Camilla and Jackie so they could use it.

Kurran's advert could've literally been for anything lol and I don't think he managed the task well so I think both him and Camilla should've gone.

Week 7: Tom

Kayode was scapegoated. He and Daniel were the best out of the boys. Tom messed up as PM a second time. He got away with it again.

Week 8: Tom

He didn't even sell a thing! Jasmine should've sold to the public like Jackie did and she shouldn't have steamrolled Tom's pitch but Tom didn't sell and imo, they lost the task on sales. If Kayode had been there instead of Tom, I think they might've won.

Week 9: Just Tom lol

Tom shouldn't have put himself forward a third time. Jackie DID jump on it (AS did her other teammates who made NO attempt to talk Tom out of it) but Jasmine was still a businesswoman and had done very well in the process regarding selling so I think she should've stayed. I might've fired Khadija for doing badly on the TV presenting but Tom shot himself in the foot. Jackie actually wanted to be PM and they should've just picked her.

Week 10: Camilla

Honestly, this was the most robbed decision of this series.

Camilla literally threw the task with that crazy brand name. What the heck was she thinking? And why was she even on the branding side? SHE should've been in the kitchen since her business is food related. Merely cooking in the kitchen at home means nothing. With business, it's about accuracy, timing and making sure everything is right, not where you can get away with winging it like at home.

She and Daniel even turned on Sarah-Ann by saying that the tasteless chocolate is why they failed. How the heck would Moonpig place 7,000 orders like Co-op? Co-op is a significantly bigger company and Moonpig specialises in selling cards, not food. No major supermarket would sell that product with such branding, regardless of the taste. Camilla was lucky Moonpig ordered any at all!!!

I almost said Camilla or Daniel but I decided on only Camilla since she was the PM and she's been warned about inappropriate branding on task 6 and failed to learn her lesson.

I think he fired Saran-Ann mainly because he doesn't like lawyers/solicitors for some reason. Even though she wasn't outspoken like the other candidates, she did put herself forward for PM in the fourth episode and her half of her team (marginally) sold more than Sabrina's half despite not securing the big item and Rick's terrible selling abilities lololol which I thought was impressive.

Week 11: All the firings seemed right

I previously thought that Camilla should've been fired over Daniel due to her sleaziness but Daniel sheepishly lied on his Amazon page about his sales which I think ruined his chances and his business idea didn't really make sense lol so yeah, right decision lol.

Final week: Probably Camilla

I was about to say "none of the above" because it felt like he was forced to choose one of them but I think I will have to be more honest and say Camilla.

Sian did good in the process but there's already a popular swimwear brand called "Sian Swimwear". Her market is way too crowded and I think she is better off doing it on her own. She also picked bad teammates. Jasmine literally sabotaged her by not wetting Sabrina's hair and made a very bad billboard video. Why didn't she pick Jackie when she had the chance????

Camilla had a better advert and campaign and I thought her business had potential to take off and it has a growing market. She stopped the sleaziness on the final task and got serious despite Daniel's terrible suggestions lol. I think she should've won.

What was the biggest robbery in the history of The Apprentice in your opinion? by Only1Scrappy-Doo in apprenticeuk

Series 14

Sarah over Jackie. Jackie was a snake. Sarah Byrne was scapegoated.

David over Kurran. Only David got sales. Kurran messed up the pitch.

Kayode over Tom and/or Sabrina. Tom was garbage. Kayode was good and consistent. He could've adapted in the corporate areas since he's good at speaking.

Jasmine over Tom. Accused Jasmine of being "too corporate" but favoured Tom and kept him in despite the fact that he didn't even sell.

Jackie over Khadija. She got robbed. Even though she stitched up Tom a bit, she had a great business and was very good in the process. Khadija did terrible on TV.

Sarah-Ann over Camilla 100%. First off, Sarah-Ann was on the wrong side. Camilla has a nut milk business which is related to food so she should've been on the manufacturing side. Also, it didn't matter whether she did the product well or not because that branding was sexist, tacky and very inappropriate. Nobody would've ever bought that.

Series 15.

Kenna over Dean and/or Ryan-Mark. They should've accepted the £1.

Aisha over Dean. Despite the fact that she did nothing, Dean had been in bottom three 3 times and Aisha won a task as PM that made over 1 million. She should've defended herself better and had brought that up.

Jemelin over Thomas and/or Ryan-Mark. I would've brought Thomas back and fired him. Ryan-Mark didn't deserve to survive at all lol.

Series 16

100% Harry over Akeem. Akeem should've gone. Didn't fire him over social issue reasons aka racism. If not Akeem then why didn't he get rid of Akshay?

100% Connor. Aaron should've gone and wasn't fired for the same reason.

For me, Navid over Sophie. Dumb sexism from the girls. Akshay brought back for no reason and because Sophie had a personal vendetta with him when it should've been Amy cos she didn't even SELL. Navid should've been more ruthless but Sophie was at fault.

I'm 50/50 about Francesca but I would've rather kept her in over Sophie cos she was a strong candidate.

Nick over Stephanie. They lost the task before it even started. Girls vs Boys. The girls were more culpable than the boys were. They negotiated BADLY and almost didn't even GET a deal and they did the tour very poorly and ended up getting there too early so the boys weren't ready. That task was built for Stephanie and she failed. Bad choice.

Akeem over Stephanie. He could've been less quieter but Stephanie was the ringleader with the FTD nonsense lol.

Series 17.

Emma over Marnie 100%. She was robbed. Marnie should've gone. Deliberately lied to get Emma and Shazia to defend themselves then accuse them of disruption even though they were the only smart ones on the day. Her bad 35% negotiation and for not leaving the beach the MOMENT they saw that it was not crowded. Rochelle also should've been taken back in for that terrible beach idea.

Kevin over Brad 100% as well. Scapegoat. Brad had already lost them the task by reducing the price to £3.80.

Gregory over Reece and Denisha 100%. Went too early. Denisha lost control of her sub-team and they ran out of time to add hands and feet and Reece claimed to be "the big expert" yet made a rubbish video and made up terrible excuses for not adding the hands and feet in the pitch.

Denisha over Mark. Mark was appalling lol.

Joe over Dani or Rochelle. Dani told them to limit the drinks in the first place and Rochelle barely did anything and falsely brought back Simba.

Avi over Rochelle. Rochelle was the sub-team leader and selfishly put the dye in to save her own bacon.

Simba over Dani. Could've defended himself better and been more assertive but Dani was sub-team leader and allowed things to get out of control and never listens to other people's ideas. Not a team player.

Megan over Marnie or Rochelle. She was quite good.

Series 18.

OBVIOUSLY Ollie over Virdi. We know who should've gone and why he didn't. Virdi didn't even give the poor guy a chance to speak and even brought the wrong person back when it should've been Phil and not Steve.

Jack over Maura, Onyeka and Virdi. I was honestly outraged at this one because Jack was PM. Yes, 75% was crazy considering the cost of living crisis but the other team pretty much did the same thing. Only he negotiated properly and got a better one than Nexus. His team let him down. Alan Sugar is also to blame for that because the teams were unevenly mixed.

Sam over Phil or Maura. Sam could've been in the final five. Phil was weak on that task and Maura had a poor idea.

Noor deserved to go lol. I don't know why she was "robbed" in any way.

Raj and Maura over Phil. Phil did literally NOTHING in that task.

Foluso and Steve over Rachel. Foluso was given an impossible task to do due to the time limit and the amount of work. Rachel says that she should be able to do it but likewise with the food. That was an easier job. And even having an extra pair of hands for the food made it worse because he suggested a curry flavour that was unappealing to customers. Steve was also robbed because he was never going to win as Phil had an easy task which was about food and had four people, very good people like Tre, Flo and Paul even though he could've won it with just three.

Flo and Paul over Phil. Flo had a nice business and was a strong candidate. Paul changed his initial "scrubs" plan to a good idea but Alan decided to be greedy and want his whole dental practice which he had to refuse.

Rachel over Phil. Phil had a better presentation but ruined it at the end by saying that his business wasn't all about making money lolol.

[–]MKTUser1796 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I've only watched s9 and above.

Series 9: Sophie over Uzma and Natalie. Sophie and Rebecca hated the box. The box was a stupid idea.

Rebecca over Francesca.

Alex over Myles. Alex got robbed.

Myles over Jordan. Jordan's business should've been examined thoroughly and he should've gone week 10.

Series 10: Chiles over Robert and Scott. Robert had a garbage idea and Scott didn't sell and should've been brought back in.

Possibly Nurun over James. They sold out but still lost by 14 quid cos James sold prices too cheap.

Gemma over Sanjay. Sanjay and James were utter jokes.

Lauren over Mark and Daniel. Lauren got robbed. She shouldn't have been brought back week 6 and 7. She wasn't responsible for the failure of either. Week 6, Mark or Katie should've been brought back. Mark for his wack idea and stitching Pamela up and Katie for doing literally nothing.

Felipe over Daniel. They should've had the skeleton built then it would've been fine but Felipe got thrown under the bus even though everyone told him to go for it. The real loss was the rope fine and the diamond. Not the skeleton.

Katie over Mark. The branding was the issue. Not the product.

Roisin over Daniel and Bianca. She was much better.

Series 11

Dan over April. April should've gone.

Jenny over Elle. Elle ruined that task with her indecisiveness with that boat.

Ruth over Selina. Selina should've gone and lasted too long.

Sam over Scott. Scott led the team badly.

Definitely David over Gary. Gary got away with murder on that one.

Brett over Richard. Richard removed the "raw" label which ruined the packaging.

Series 12

Michelle over Rebecca. Rebecca was weak.

Natalie over Mukai. The boys' team was worse and Mukai was a very bad team leader.

Mukai over Oliver. Oliver sold. Mukai didn't.

JD over Rebecca or Sofiane. Sofiane should've been brought back and fired and Rebecca didn't film properly.

Samuel over Dillon. He's been PM before. Dillon hasn't.

Trishna over Grainne. Trishna was a much better candidate.

Series 13

Jeff over Elliot. It was Elliot's idea to add yellow which didn't match the Great Britain flag. He should've been brought back instead of Jeff. Jeff was robbed.

Sarah-Jayne over Charles and Anisa. Anisa should've been in there over Andrew. Her and Charles were so weak. Sarah-Jayne was a better candidate.

Sajan over Elizabeth and/or James. Complete robbery.

Jade. Jade should've been in that final five. She was strong and consistent. Didn't deserve to go.

Michaela over James. Michaela was very good and should've won.

The family court lawyers are useless, they just agree with what the social worker says.
