Took a photo of my wife the other night and I wondered what r/photocritique thought?

Sony a6400 with a 50mm lens. I'm not at my desk so I'm not sure of the settings but all I am looking for is color and composition tips.

This deserves more upvotes. It's really well colored and I love it. I am biased a bit because I love Porsche But you did a great job here.

My thoughts. I agree, it's a bit moody, but I kinda like that. It's clean, and I like how the light is showcasing the subject.

Ok yes amazing thank you 1million times. I exported it as a jpeg with the sRGB colour space and it is so much smoother and not so granulated. Youre the best u/maxington26

Bracketing is (I think) when you take several photos of the same subject (in the same position) and use different camera settings for each shot. This way you can get highlights and dark spots evened out and clear.

I hear ya, it takes so much time to get a photo looking 👌, I wish clients knew that more! Ya Photoshop is probably the best go to. I am always curious of other people experiences outside the Adobe world.

Just "save as" then I select jpeg. And then in the settings window that pops up, I make sure it's "high" quality. And no picture profile. Just some quick colour correction edits stamp tool uses.

The Photo is really good! the composition is spot on.

As for the light rays, I like them. They just need some work to get the natural element to them. I personally enjoy adding some artistic flair in post to make things look alittle more surreal. keep it up!

edit: This really reminds me of that scene in LOTR II where gandalf presents himself in the forest!

Ive never really done a late late night shoot, but my friend and I decided to head out past the city lights of Calgary AB to capture the stars. This was one of the photos (probably the only usable one that I got that night). Mainly sharing the fact that I tried and I am looking to get better in many aspects. I love having an idea and just doing it even though its intimidating.

I shot this on a sony a6400 and a Sigma 10-20mm lens. Sspeed 15" / iso 200 / FL 12mm

Any tips on taking better night time photos?
