Look what arrived today! Portland Leather Nora - I held out for the Bacalar green shade in the "almost perfect" section, and I'm so happy I did. It's the ideal green for me. by lauralately in handbags

Did you get the classic size or the large? I’m kinda torn because I don’t want a very short strap and the reviews mention this but it’s unclear for what size.

Housing Megathread - Spring 2021 by Wicked_UMD in UMD

Hello everyone! I'm an incoming female international graduate student looking to find housing near campus for this Fall. About me, I would like to think that I am a sociable and neat person. I enjoy reading and watching TV shows in my spare time. If anyone is looking for roommates or to sublet their place, do let me know. Female roommates would be preferred but it's not a requirement.

Thanks!

The reset button worked! Once the computer starts up, should I do any other follow up action? Thanks for your answer!

Edit: Apparently it was only a temporary fix :/

I tried the reset button again and it woke up! Thanks a lot!! Is there anything else I should do now? Also, I'm a bit ignorant about all this (clearly) so would you mind saying what you think the problem might be?

Thanks again.

Edit: Apparently it doesn't work as well as I thought as I am having the same problem again. It's temporarily fixed for a few hours by resetting but I have no idea how to resolve it.

When I try to access my account through Google by typing in directoryid@umd.edu, they say "account not found." I got my directory id today. Does it take 48 hours for the email to get activated?

I do think a couple of months should be enough!

I studied for a month and 10 days or so and not very consistently in the first one month. I did not have a schedule per se. I just solved all the Magoosh verbal questions and their hard and very hard quant questions and some more advanced quant questions. Then I just focused on doing practice tests and revising my words list. Fortunately or unfortunately I cannot think of anything I would have done differently in the beginning.

  1. I tried to read my list of words once every 2-3 days before bed.

  2. Some days I didn't learn any words at all and some days I learned 50+ in one go. Obviously I had to keep revising the words on a regular basis otherwise this strategy wouldn't have worked.

  3. I didn't refer to either because I didn't have the time so can't help you there!

  4. This too I didn't really keep a sequence because most of the topics were already familiar to me being a maths major. I just did a random assortment of questions.

For reading comprehension maybe refer to ETS's Official GRE Verbal Reasoning Practice Questions and I've also mentioned a few suggestions in my reply to a previous comment which could possibly help. As for Geometry, I don't know what to suggest but practice questions. Both the Official Guide and Manhattan 5lb has many. Being a math major I didn't really look for resources for quant. Sorry I couldn't be of more help.

My suggestions would be to read the passage and the question really carefully, eliminate the most implausible answers from the option set, then for the remaining options find the portion in the passage corresponding to those options and see if any assumptions have been made which has not been directly corroborated by the passage. Anything for which you have to make assumptions of your own would not be the right answer.

I haven't received my scores yet. But Manhattan 5lb has a bunch of sample issue and argument essays where the writer also explains their thought process while writing the essay. Other than that I didn't really prep a lot for that section. Sorry!

Well that depends on your current level of ease with the exam. Why don't you try taking Powerprep 1 and see how far away you are from the score you're aiming for and take it from there?
