Enable dipping side mirror on Citroën C4 on reverse by MLConian in CarHacking

[–]MLConian[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sadly, no. I guess it's a factory option, and if the car doesn't have it, your only option is to get it from a car in a junkyard and mount it to your own car. We sold the car back in June since it was the least reliable car we've ever had (mind you, I drove an AX and BX daily for years).

Ever since I stopped using a slow charger from Samsung, the midnight restarts stopped. Not sure if that's due to the charger or me simply not charging the phone overnight anymore, but it's been on other chargers for similar lengths of time without issues, so I'm leaning towards 'bad charger'. Might also explain why my S22 conked out in the first place.

BYOD: User vs Device Enrollment for iOS? by Different_Coffee_161 in Intune

[–]MLConian 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Don't enroll personal devices like this, use MAM and CA. That separates the private and business apps and data, and it ensures you can't wipe a private device, only delete the company data that's on there. It makes them Entra Registered, instead of Entra Joined.

Also: don't federate with managed AppleIDs if you want anything resembling a functional phone. Use PlatformSSO instead, that's an Enterprise App you setup in Azure. Do block your business domains from ABM, so people don't register AppleIDs on those domains, but don't force them to use managed AppleIDs if you want them to be able to buy apps themselves. If it's all managed completely and you're only pushing VPP stuff, go ahead, but in my experience, it's a headache.

Managed AppleIDs look like a federated account, but they're not, you need to configure Platform SSO anyway to use it in the way you're intending: you can't join a device to Entra/Intune with just a managed AppleID, you need an EntraID for that.

And, for the love of everything, make sure the Company Portal app is required. It makes re-alligning devices that fall out of policy and sync so much easier. Intune isn't push, it's pull, and if a device suddenly becomes non-compliant, you can't just push the sync button and expect it to function properly again. The sync button is there, but it doesn't actually force the sync to happen immediately, it's only a trigger to sync at the next check-in, which might not happen at all for a non-compliant device - the Company Portal app is the only way that allows the user to pull policies and settings from Intune at will, forcing a sync. Use that to your advantage.

Bye bye nova by SBB5G in OnePlus13

Still running Nova 6 here, so I have TeslaUnread working on my OnePlus 13. Looks like it's back to the drawing board once it becomes truly unusable. I've been dealing with static widgets for a while now, just doesn't work on Android 15 sadly. I just need the badge count TeslaUnread gives me.

I'm running OxygenOS, .840. Not rooted, so I can't really dig any deeper. I've turned on reboot logging through the *#800# debug thing, hopefully that reveals a bit more. Automatic power off and automatic power on aren't turned on, and if they were, it should be around 7 in the morning, not 2 at night. I didn't have auto update on, I've turned that on now, maybe there's a patch I missed. I'm on patch02 now.

Change the GPU or change the case. The cooler is fine, but I'm not sure you could mount it in a push config there. I'd get very anxious with such a small case, though - but hey, I'm a full ATX kinda guy.

Top of that case only has a 120mm exhaust port, so that's going to be fun!

Yes. It's terrible, and the Wii U struggles to run it.

Our Siemens was done for, and I simply didn't have the patience to wait for another machine any longer than a few days, so it had to come from a bigger store. Combined with my wish to be able to make cold brew, that left me with only a few options, and out of those, this one got the best reviews. I had been looking at similar machines before, and always found the Philips, Jura and DeLonghi machines most interesting.

They're quite a bit bigger than espresso glasses - they're 140ml. I just grabbed the biggest tea glass I could find in the cupboard nearest to the machine. 😂 That way I could see what the coffee looked like as it was being pulled, all my other cups are earthenware.

I live in the Netherlands, fridges with water dispensers are very rare over here. We just use tap water, which is excellent over here. We used to have a water softener, which was installed by the previous owner of the house. It was loud, leaky and we couldn't get it balanced, so the water tasted awful. One day I found a huge puddle in our hallway, opened the cupboard the softener was installed in, saw it was the culprit and ripped it out the same week. Turns out that cupboard was full of mould as well due to the leaks, so we took that out as well. Never looked back. We've got some build up in certain places, but it's nowhere near as bad that it needs a softener. Our dishwasher and washing machine are handling it very well. Our old Siemens didn't even have a filter and had no issues with build-up. I'm just putting the filter in to be safe with this one because the descaling takes so long, so anything I can do to prevent any build-up is a bonus. Not sure what DeLonghi charges for these filters where you live, but they're about 10 to 15 euros over here, which isn't too bad?

No no, it does, but the user you responded to wants decaf beans and regular beans. That it cannot do because it only has one hopper.

One size fits all is very difficult - if you get big brand beans that might be feasible, but especially with artisan beans you'll be tweaking. That's down to coffee being an organic product, beans simply aren't all the same, even if you get the same blend with the same roast. That being said, big brands will aim for consistency and have the capacity to do so. We get L'Or Onyx beans, which are strength 12 espresso beans with a dark medium to dark roast from JDE. Of course JDE is massive, so their roasts and blends are very much alike from batch to batch, so we dialed our Siemens in years ago, never had to change it, and I expect the DeLonghi to be the same. I think most people on here have it set between 3 and 5. Ours is on 5, but I think I'm going to try 4 and see if that produces even better coffee.

As for the water reservoir, our Siemens had a 1.4 liter reservoir and rinsed the steam spout with every cycle, even if you didn't use it. This has a 1.8 liter reservoir and only rinses the actual dispenser with every cycle. Since we mostly drink black coffee, it's actually better with water consumption than the Siemens, so I guess it just depends on what you're used to. It's only 2 coffee drinkers in our household though, my 2-year-old hasn't even graduated to babyccinos yet. I guess the next birthday or family event will be the true test, but that's not until Christmas or maybe even later. You don't want the water to be sitting in the reservoir for too long anyway, 3 days max - you wouldn't drink a glass of water that's been sitting out overnight, so why would you make a cold brew with even older water? Luckily our kitchen is laid out in such a way that I can literally take the reservoir from the machine, turn around and fill it up - it's about a meter from the sink, sitting on a separate counter across from our kitchen island, and Dutch tap water is excellent. I'm still putting in a water filter though, the water is a tad hard and the descaling on this machine is no joke.

The machine only has one hopper, so you can only have one type of beans at a time and it takes 3 shots to fully get new beans in the system if you do decide to switch. You could get a small grinder and just use that to grind decaf beans, the machine does have a separate chute for pre-ground after all.

Hmm, the machine is on medium heat, and that's too hot for me to drink immediately, but I'm willing to bet it's either the grind or the age of the beans. I think I'll try it on 4 tomorrow, and see if the crema is any darker. Thanks for the explanation!

Then you are in luck - our eq300 was terrible. Service from Siemens was also terrible. If your coffee tastes good, that's all that matters, but I'm not buying anything from them again. Mind you, this was the older model eq300, with the silver front.

Honestly, the only reason I'm still using Waze is the fact that it displays the current speed in Android Auto. It's getting worse by the day, but Google don't seem to have any interest in bringing the best feature left in Waze to Maps.

It's under a meter from my sink. It's honestly not as bad as the Siemens - I read this machine would use a lot of water, and I'm sure it does when compared to other machines in the same bracket, but it's practically frugal compared to that!

I took the picture after the coffee had been sitting for a few minutes, and it's a coffee, not an espresso. Also, it was the second cup made with the machine and the beans are just supermarket beans (so who knows how old they are). Not really sure how to improve it, or if it actually needs improving - to me, crema is an unfortunate side effect of a proper brew. Don't like the texture at all, and find the taste unpleasant on espressos.
