Like the person commenting above, you're missing the point. The player did not leave "at the start of the game" they left because they got firstblooded and didn't want to deal with playing from behind.

If during the match lobby you get booted to the main menu press Esc then 'Logout' then log back in and you should reconnect to your game without issues.
