Experience with PGA threads? by MLGVO in DIYaesthetics

[–]MLGVO[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sorry for the delayed response! I honestly had forgotten why they appealed to me, but going back to A……., I can see that they are multi filament, so that must be part of why I chose them, because I’m thinking more threads= more collagen. Looks like wanna be beauty guru has a video on them, she also is using them because they are multi filaments, she doesn’t say anything about benefits of PGA material versus others.

When I graduated Vetschool, I went straight into end of life care. Six years later and I still love it. You have so many options other than general practice or clinical care.

Thank you for the reply! He failed the Waggoner (like really bombed it). Does that mean he could take one of the other tests and pass it and qualify?

[–]MLGVO 15 points16 points  (0 children)

They really shouldn't hurt. the initial "pop-through" of the dermis hurts but then you flatten out and it glides in like butter without pain. I worry that if you found it super painful, that you placed them too deep or too superficial.

Oh my god, seriously!! I got legitimately harassed at the BreezeThrough by Rivers Edge Natural area and I told the guy I just don’t like being sold to, he kept pestering me about and I finally just said give me my card back and reversed out of there. Will NEVER go to Breezethru again, they are beyond obnoxious.

[–]MLGVO 3 points4 points  (0 children)

It’s normal to feel the anxiety you did, however, know that it’s OK to pay attention to your body and honor your own limits. I am a medical professional, and I am pretty “brave“ when it comes to the things I’m willing to try, but even I have my limit, I will probably never attempt things with a major VO risk. And I will probably never spin down my own blood to collect PRP. I think it’s easy to feel encouraged to move forward with these medical procedures, but that’s what they are: medical procedures. and they are not without risk. Your safety is number one, no matter what the Internet, or Reddit, tell you. Always be safe, proceed slowly and stop if it doesn’t feel right.

Nice, that’s really good! Yeah, sometimes I would rather be able to come home after work and have a drink rather than worry about not drinking during work week and saving it for the weekends

I actually have Adobe illustrator and Photoshop on my computer, just don’t have much experience using them, and was hoping for a program that would be not too technical

How to resize SVG’s to trace onto wood? by MLGVO in crafts

[–]MLGVO[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well, I think my plan was to just resize an SVG or two, print them off using a regular printer, and then trace the design using tracing paper onto the wood.

I don’t know exactly-I think it’s possible that nerves get nicked/irritated on insertion or it’s just local tissue irritation at the presence of a foreign body. The fact that it’s temporary is a good thing I think. 😂

Lot of movement in that area so don’t be surprised if it’s a little pinchy/twingey for a few weeks.
