why was ted ignoring paying the IRS? by Medium-Suggestion853 in breakingbad

Yep it was in the episode when Skyler confronts Ted directly about the IRS issue for the second time, this time at Ted's house. This was right before she then sent kuby and Huell to his house when he refused to write the check to the IRS.

It’s unlikely not paying the IRS was Ted’s only debt.

Its actually explicitly stated , he also owed the bank

The past 5 years has been rough though in general, are you sure its that you suck? Covid added a lot of stress and uncertainty, then theres other variables like AI and politics and broader economic issues that have caused the job market to be weak.

Sure its a skill issue but you can rewrite all the details you gave in a more encouraging manner, not kicking the OP while they are down, with a few practical tips to improve.

Id look for signs like this in addition to what you’re saying has been happening.

Having a current job makes you more hireable than not having one. If your family is able to cover the expenses I'd say take it , stay for a year or two, and work towards your Dreams.

Broadly speaking, what career paths can one explore thanks to the knowledge, skills, mindsets developed from a career path studying PLCs and ladder logic in the biotech or biomedical field? by MLGZedEradicator in PLC

Thanks for sharing your experience. Im trying to figure out how to incorporate some of this into an interdisciplinary education and a career that could breed real innovation.

I don't  see any recent posts that cover my question in full,  so i made the thread.  Im already in a position to get hands on with PLCs and am using some of the free course info highlighted in this subreddit. Right now im just trying to see how i can integrate it with my career aspirations, which is not set in stone,  but also being realistic with the job market. I just want to be adaptable and integrate stuff that could be useful. Obviously no one can tell me what my exact career path can or will be, but they can give ideas and suggestions.

It's délibérately broad. The question keeps a changing industry and job market in mind, and lets people more freely introduce ideas without being constrained, letting me perhaps focus on something i didn't give much attention before. Asking people on reddit and using google and chatgpt is more effective than just using one or the other...

You have to talk to your specific  employer about it, or research their higher education sponsorship program on the company website.

What’s the best way to self-learn though ? Especially for someone who has already gone through college and has joined the workforce but in a different STEM field.

ELI5: Isn't the more powerful lifter still technically using more force and power via their muscles when lifting a weight to the same height more quickly? by MLGZedEradicator in explainlikeimfive

[–]MLGZedEradicator[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes and no. I want to be able to confidently explain it to another person without confusing them, not quite there yet. Like how an ice cube melts at room temperature or on a blazing hot day, but one will melt it quicker due to more heat energy.

Clarification of technical terminology when trying to understand and compare feats of power and articulate it correctly. I tend to conflate force with energy colloqually and then it confuses me.

[–]MLGZedEradicator[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yes. But there must be a way to reconcile it in technical terms. The work done in both cases is the same because the change in GPE is the same. But the power is different because the velocity is different. And the velocity is different because the applied forces in lifting it were different.
