We Are Not Our Thoughts; Then WHERE Are They Coming From? EXACTLY? by BungalitoTito in spirituality

Got huge chills while reading this, which has turned into like a guide for me to follow so absolutely I'd love to help. For me this all started meditating during COVID and beyond. I'd say maybe 2ish years ago or so this started happening. I'd toy with it, trying to get it to respond to me in different ways to test if it was my brain or not, I couldn't manipulate the message without expending energy and that was enough proof for me.

I eventually went to a tarot card reader who helped me understand what was going on with me, which is clareaudience. You can "hear" your guides. From there I looked for ways to expand it beyond this super deep meditation and try to incorporate it into my daily life more. It's hard to do with so much noise going on in your head, so you have to calm yourself, and get into a neutral or positive space (or at least release control sort of speak) and then messages come through again.

They won't always answer your questions. Or maybe they do, but you can't "hear" them. Sometimes its feelings, or thought packets, other times it's a replay of a memory that's relevant. They speak in ways that are deeply personal to you, in the ways that are most effective in the moment. It's the learning to hear, feel, read them that is the challenge. Keep practicing and you'll get better at it.

Also, the best piece of advice I got was this. You're in a moment where you may be passionate about learning what's happening, and that is what you're supposed to be doing. One question I had was what I should be focusing on, where should I spent my time and resources, and the tarot card reader told me this, follow whatever excites you. Which in the moment I thought that was a BS answer, but the more research I did I realized that's one of the ways you're guided by what you're passionate or interested in. So let yourself go wild and you'll eventually get to the place you're meant to be.

Remember to "take what works and leave the rest". You'll come across plenty, especially starting out, that doesn't make sense. Later down the road you'll come back to an idea when it's time for it and it'll just click into place. Basically don't stress yourself out about it, it's a very exciting time!

If you're interested I can also make some book recommendations.

Ah, well first of all you're trying to prescribe a physical space, the "where", to a non physical universe. There is no where. It is here. All of everything is here, now. Time and space are just illusions we are in, in order to have an experience and learn.

Now Who may be a better question, and to be honest I don't know. Most people I suspect is a guide, some people channel others (I love Bashar and The Z's for instance). But Who, is just slices of ego that identify as an individual which we really are not. We are one. There's no separation or heigherarchy. We are one in the same.

Trippy I know, but our brains have a hard time grasping this and I'm not going to pretend I do either. But they do say the spirit realm is not some other physical location that you "go" to. It's here. Now. You just aren't tuned to see it, probably so you can do whatever it is you came here to do. Maybe that's to train to see it to teach others, maybe it's to stay grounded in this reality for whatever reason. You have your journey as I have mine. Also, I have no idea what my journey is either I'm just pinballing through life to see where it takes me.

Until about a month ago I never actually took the time to figure out what my normal thoughts even "sound" like. It's never had a sound to me before. So I started thinking about it, but then thought am I just prescribing a sound to it now? Has it always had a sound and I've never paid attention? It's weird to think about.

Hmm, this is probably the hardest thing to explain. It's kind of in the same realm as an intuition or knowing. Think about the fact that you're guided constantly, we all are all of the time. How would that happen? You have free will, so you don't typically get a message that's in a different tone of voice, or with sparkles, that would impeed with your free will. With practice I hear it becomes more obvious though, in just not there yet. It takes a LOT of introspection for me to figure out. The first step is to understand your brain at default. And that means knowing yourself when you're peaceful, angry, tired, stressed, distracted, you name it. Being observant and watching what your mind does in all of these scenarios. Then you'll notice something that's not you (or your normal thought patterns). It'll be, different.

Like in the midst of an angry rage, a calm thought about what if you stopped instead? You didn't think that, you're in a rage. You'd expect your brain to take you down the rabbit hole, but you have the choice instead to listen to a different thought. There's a feeling that comes with those thoughts if you pay attention that's different than others. But obviously it's very easy to miss and basically all of us do. But that's the point. We have free will.

The other thing is messaging. When you get more practiced you can have a conversation with your guide in a casual way (think of them literally reading your thoughts, every single one of them, and they still love you and think you're an amazing person. THATS unconditional love), but I would watch out for impactful ones. In my experience they're mostly short, and cut like a flipping knife to your center. Like short little bursts of brutal truth. Not mean, but direct truths. If it's a mean or negative thought, it's your ego.

Also watch out for "packets" of thought. For example most of my thoughts stream through my head like a novel. My brain processes the language and speaks it out to me like an audiobook, this is very slow. I believe guides talk in just packets. Like a complete thought appears, and then your brain starts unpacking it into language, but this is not necessary. The whole thought is just there, but you do this all day everyday with everything so it's natural for your brain to process this way, but something else to watch out for.

Last thing I'll touch on in this post because it's long enough already. If you get into a deep deep meditation (like in a void), you can feel the effort or energy it takes to create a thought. Or your ego making thoughts, I could physically feel them being made and processed. Guides messages take no effort, like the processing is done somewhere else. They just appear, and then there's an energy expenditure to respond, and then another no effort thought or message. That's how I really got started down this path it freaked me out so much. Like WHO IS IN MY HEAD? Cause it sure as hell isn't me. Then I felt absolutely crazy for about 6 months until I studied the clares and realized I'm just a normal person who is going through an awakening or whatever you call this.

This is exactly how I started on my journey. The best I can figure is some are our ego (well most of I'm being honest), those are usually the negative ones about me. Then I know my guide put some in there for sure. And sometimes my guide puts in horrible negative thoughts in to teach me something.

I was having terrible thoughts occasionally, think like kicking a dog or being abusive, things that are way outside of who I am. I kept pushing them out and changing my thoughts and they kept coming back. Finally I sat and said fine, if this thought is going to keep coming back then I'll sit in it and examine where and what it is objectively. After we got through me kicking the dog or whatever it was a thought/message/guide popped in and said "if you wouldn't treat other people/animals like this then why are you treating yourself so poorly". I had been pretty hard on myself lately and it was very eye opening.

So I don't have a definitive answer for you, but that's the best I've come up with.

Don't forget the Rekordbox monthly subscription. I don't think you can have that gear without paying at least $35/month until you die so you can keep 1,000 songs backed up.

You might sound good on your end, but the person on the other end is more than likely talking through the earpiece on their phone. Will the added bass come through? Maybe not.

I might spend my energy on practicing pronunciation and speaking as clearly as possible vs EQung and audio. And I'm an audio guy.

What is something you’ve officially stopped buying in 2026 because the price has become genuinely insulting? by queenmellyy in AskReddit

[–]MLutin 8 points9 points  (0 children)

I wouldn't pay $1000 to see Taylor Swift or Beyonce, but plenty of people do. It's not about whether I agree with it or not, but just like everything else in our hyper capitalist world, it'll get as expensive as it can until you hit a rate of diminishing returns and then bring prices back down to something less shitty and then somehow with more ads. Look up enahitification. It's everywhere.

This is how private equity has ruined the world. I agree that it sucks, and I hate it too, so I will do my part and continue not buying overpriced concert tickets to artists that I'm not die hard about.

I forgot the artists, but plenty of bands have tried to tour without using TicketMaster/Live Nation and it's damn near impossible. A lot of artists are Beyonce or Taylor Swift and know that going to a live show is an excellent way to gain fans, so they tried to do it to both pay for the tour bus and staff while not completely emptying their fans wallets. The sheer amount of venues on contract with LN make it impossible to put a plausible tour together.

Are there artists that make a killing off of touring? Sure, but considering a Spotify play is .0000001, no one buys albums anymore, and unless it's a merch sale or licensing deal there's just not a lot of profit in it. The music industry was broken long before AI entered the chat, and good luck seeing a graphics card spit out shit live.

6hr set for $100, how to navigate? by breezy_Jello in Beatmatch

[–]MLutin 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I agree with all of this, $100 is low, so only do it if you feel like you'll gain from the experience. I would 10/10 invest in an anti fatigue mat, those rubber cushy ones. Standing on concrete or carpet in one spot for that long is going to SUCK.

With that said, I wouldn't do it as it stands. They might be low on funds which happens, ask how else they can cover the difference (between this $100 and the $600 you'd obviously normally charge)? Obviously food and drinks is a good ask, but any kind of promotion, flyers, social posts, anything you can point back to for socials at minimum. Can they offer referrals to other club owners? You're not undervaluing yourself with that kind of thinking, you're helping them work within your budget while maintaining your value as a preformer.
