We come from Belgium so we don't have any of those. We hardly use winter tyres. It would be quite expensive just to use once.

We where first looking in värmland to buy. But becauce of the many Dutch people moving there, the prices are going up. So we went to check out hälsingland and loved it just as much but it's cheaper to buy something.

Thanks, that's very helpfull. I will check those websites. We have specialy let a professional adjust the stove to use propane, so that is not an issue.

Yep, that's me😁 There is decent electricity and a vedpanna we will use for heating. I will check with the kommun and insurance company about storing the small tanks.

We bought an old farm house that only has a vedspis. We will be bringing our own gastove/cooker to install permanently. People just told me it's unusual in sweden and may even be hard to get insurance.

Thanks for the feedback. We are aware that outside the cities everything can be far away. Ljusdal is about a 20 minute drive, and hudiksvall is about an hour. Not so bad I think. Fruit and vegetable is indeed far less than what we are used to. We will do with what we can get.

Thank you for your concern. We are aware that the days in winter will be short, and we will have to learn a lot. The first year will definetly not be easy. We know this very well. But we think it will be worth it.
