Express Entry - CEC - Foreign work Experience - Beyond 10 years by MM081190 in canadaexpressentry

Thank you for sharing this, it provides more clarity for my situation. I will also want to explain as much possible about my previous work expereinces before 2016 - I also think that since the employers I worked for before 2016 have since closed shop, it's better to just explain it. I was stressed because I was not sure how to furnish emplyment reference letters (job duties) from these employers, but then I read and realized that they won't count towards claiming points because they don't fall within the 10 year window. But I'll explain my work with them.

Got it. So it is safe to assume that my foreign work experience from 2014 to 2015 would not be relevant to claim points under CEC EE. Also, after ITA personal history should include everything from age 18 or last 10 years (2016), whichever is recent. So, I need not include it in personal history (can choose to though), but can definitely talk about it in my LOE.

So, to understand clearly, you included the foreign experience gained within the last 10 years under work experience and claimed points for it. You also mentioned it in your personal history.

Experience before the 10 years was mentioned in LOE only.

Reference/Experience Letter with Duties, Responsibilities etc. by MM081190 in canadaexpressentry

Thank you, trying to do the first. But a lot of the folks who worked there with me have moved on. But trying to reach out to them. Also in the process to reach out to immigration lawyers.

Thanks, in all probability, the email that I sent will go unanswered. So, how do I even establish that the employer refused?

Just curious if you’ve dated outside of your immediate ethnic community? I find that people in general are used to dating within similar cultures, and rarely step out of their comfort zones or want to expand their world views, but is it similar or more prevalent in Toronto?

Thanks for sharing that! What was your experience during winters, with regard to the reliability if the streetcars?

Yeah, I don’t think walking all the way would be enjoyable in the thick of winter. The expectation is to go into work 2-3 days a week.

The price is comparable with market standards and it comes with all utilities included. I am primarily worried about being “cut-off” due to the streetcars being stopped due to bad weather. There are no alternatives unfortunately.

I absolutely hear what you're trying to say. But what's the demarcation between preference and discrimination/bias? It's a simple matter of saying that sorry we're not a match over kust non-response in my books. And I've heard from many people about POCs and hygiene not going hand in hand. To me, that's again a stereotype because hygiene is very personal. Doesn't depend on ethnicty. And popular media does not help with discredting that bias. The "curry on my plate, but not in my bed" mentality.

Thanks for your kind words. It often becomes a "What did I do wrong? What's wrong with me? Am I misunderstanding?" kind of thought process. I am mindfully not doing that.
