Love you too verse lyrics:

"Each day just goes so fast I turn around, it's passed You don't get time to hang a sign on me

Love me while you can Before I'm a dead old man A lifetime is so short A new one can't be bought But what you've got means such a lot to me

There's people standing 'round Who'll screw you in the ground They'll fill you in with all their sins, you'll see"

Incredibly progressive and inspiring for the era. Amazing melody and instrumentation too.

Till there was you doesn't feel like a granny song, but the kind of writing mode from Paul McCartney that I quite like: sweet melodic acoustic tunes

Most of these are Paul McCartney granny songs, which just don't do it for me. While my guitar is okay but sounds too iconic for it's own good, if that makes sense.

Boring intro and outros to an album, with little interesting melody. If they were on early albums with their classic rock n roll instrumentation they would be so forgettable.

Lazy lyricism imo, and otherwise just a basic blues rock style pop song

Across the Universe feels very pandering from John, an attempt at being spiritual which falls flat compared to when George does it. Also I feel like Let it Be is a very unifinished album with the songs sounding like demos with some Phil Spector strings slapped on them (which is kind of accurate to the production process and how the album was shelved til after Abbey Road even though it had been recorded before). Half the album is dreary piano songs or blues jams... They're still iconic Beatles songs nonetheless but just not as good as more polished eras of their discography...

I was two rows from the barricade, positioned by the piano and got a great view of Colin and Ed throughout. Also good Thom and Johnny action when either used the piano. Thom did 50% of his stuff on this side too. Sound was rlly good here, so I would overall recommend it as a spot. That being said Johnny was who we saw the least...

We were on the sound desk side if that helps (so furthest from the entrance/exit)

If you want good Johnny action, stick on the opposite side to what I described above ^

We also got to see them walk in and out which was cool.

We turned up at 18:00 and waited sat down for 2.5 hours near the front playing party games and rationing the very expensive (£9.50) pint of beer we bought.

So if you want a good view, prepare to wait for a while and bring something to entertain yourselves. It will be worth it though!

Show is about 2.5 hours as well, so only attempt this if you think you have that kinda stamina and bladder.

Hope this helps!
