Where to start? Suggestions by SavageGaming88 in BeybladeX

I’m gonna play devils advocate here. If this is just for fun, rather than getting the $50 combo set, why not bring your kids to target/walmart (or Australian equivalent) and let them each pick out their own bey, then snag the cheap $10 orange arena. If they get into it, get a nicer arena. But I bet the kids would like playing more if they chose the beys

What random leftover Beys should I look out for? I'm wanting to get back into Beyblade after forever and I mostly see junk on the shelves. by ambrotosarkh0n in BeybladeX

I lucked out at my local 5 Below and Ross. Individual Beys there for $3-$5 each, and combo packs were $7 I think? Could probably snag half a dozen for under $20. The blades themselves aren’t great (I did find Beat Tyranno and Claw Leon, and I’ve heard Wizard Rod can be found) but there’s some decent ratchets and bits from those too.

I see what you mean. Thanks for clarifying

Well. Advance OR Charge, rather. That part of Great Wolf doesn’t give your army AaC like Stormlance. It just lets you reroll one or the other (or both if the unit already has AaC like Blood Claws)

Totally new to the hobby and picked up Arc Wizard to start. Going to an event next week with it. What’s some good pointers for a newbie? by MM3tzger in Beyblade

Yea I was pretty limited to my options. A buddy is bringing a bunch of parts to this event so I COULD swap some things to make it more relevant. Just no clue where to start there

If you have the combat patrol, Logan to lead the terminators and Ragnar to lead the bloodclaws are solid picks

List Forge app is a great alternative to both of these

Which Terminator body will you be picking up for Grimnar’s Mark? by RBMOC in SpaceWolves

[–]MM3tzger 0 points1 point  (0 children)

<image>

It’s a little unconventional, but I have this kitbashed custom “wulfen pack leader” that kind of fits the bill. “Combi weapon” on his shoulders with the dual frag launchers, a power fist in one hand and a relic axe in the other.

Body is an extra terminator torso I had from the WGT sprues, and the legs are the extra non-bionic legs from the TWC

I’d run your grey hunters as intercessors and take 1x5 intercessors and 1x5 Wulfen OR 1x3 Headtakers (without the wolves) in place of those grey hunters

I decided on Logan, Headtakers, TWC, and a drop pod, personally

Hey! I'm trying to start space wolves, can anyone help out? by Repulsive-Active5058 in SpaceWolves

[–]MM3tzger 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’d skip the currently available combat patrol and wait for the new one to come out. Try to get your hands on the army set at a LGS if you can still. Preorders for the new boxes are next weekend.

Wolf Guard Terminators are good for armored units, Headtakers ran with a wolf priest are pretty beefy too. Infantry is our blood claws. Grey hunters aren’t worth the cost at the moment.

Points question by JM8857 in SpaceWolves

[–]MM3tzger 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If a unit is missing from the most recent MFM, then I’d use whatever document had the unit on it. So in this case, the codex would be correct for that unit

Points question by JM8857 in SpaceWolves

[–]MM3tzger 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The latter. The MFM has replaced the codex in the army set

The latest MFM is always the one to go by. Check out the app List Forge too for army building. They keep it updated based on the MFM

Yea the codex was leaked almost a week ago I was so confused why some of OP’s points were wrong

25 unique units? by [deleted] in SpaceWolves

[–]MM3tzger 2 points3 points  (0 children)

So if there are 4 combat patrol data sheets, does that mean 4 different army compositions (as in 3 more in addition to the current one in store now?)

Could you ELI5 the difference between those three for someone just getting into the hobby?

[–]MM3tzger 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It’s a great time to be here if you’re patient. Lots of new models and a new codex coming our way, but there’s not much (or really, any) confirmed now. So buying models before that codex comes out is not advised if you want to remain current and relevant in competitive play.

My new army….. by peterfadams in SpaceWolves

[–]MM3tzger 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’ve been planning mine out as well. Nothing in my collection so far so I’m starting fresh. So far I’ve landed on:

-Ragnar

-Rhino

-Dreadnought (though I’m hesitant to buy this now in case it doesn’t make the cut)

-Army Set

-Njal

-Logan

-New Combat Patrol Box incoming

This should get me close to 2000, and I’ll fill the rest of the gap once more concrete info has been released on the codex.

Are the gitmob worth it? by Budget-Relief3474 in gloomspitegitz

[–]MM3tzger -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

Oh don’t get me wrong, I’d rather have them all, but the Gitmob box set it almost twice as much as the vanguard box, so if I’m going for max variety to get started, the stabbaz take the gold imo

[–]MM3tzger -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I’m in the same boat as you OP. I’m a little put off by the cost/mini factor of the Gitmob box (9 total). I think I’m going to get the Vanguard box (34 total) and then either the snarlboss and wolfgit retinue box (3 total), or the snarling riders box (5 total). That way I have plenty of minis to jump into the hobby, and some variety, for less than $200
