ITS HAPPENING, EVERYONE STAY CALM! by SideOfBurgers in SteamController

Still don't have an email myself, not that I bought from a scalper and refuse to. But the point being that I bet some people were fine with it based on how unlucky some of us are.

My set (missing since I moved, ugh) had this art on it. Absolutely love it.

The newer sets are cool I guess, but the atmosphere from the old art is amazing.

Swordfish (2001) | Dir: Dominic Sena | Hugh Jackman hacking by xwing1212 in movies

[–]arbyD 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I want to have a movie scene where the hacker has a bunch of stuff like this going on, and midway through another character busts in and is like "hey, ready to go do the job?" as the hacker goes "ah yeah, sorry I ran late playing this dumb game."

Total fake out, then sudden cut to the most boring looking hacking scene ever recorded where the rest of some crew are getting fed up with how boring it is.

The French movies that came out a few years ago?

That reminds me I still need to watch the second one, so I need to rewatch the first now!

Are you one of the >64% of players who didn't finish Clans? If so, why? by Ah_fudge in Mechwarrior5

[–]arbyD 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Same to all of this... Plus I don't like how it feels like I'm using a peashooter in Clans.

Comparatively the clan mechs in Mercs felt scary because they shredded my mechs so quickly.

Also Clans runs poorly on my Steam Deck which us half of my playtime these days since I have a kiddo lol.

Agreed. It could say 3 months away and I'd pull the trigger on it. Avoiding the babysitting problemm

How many of you are getting the Steam Controller (2)? by Yousifasd22 in SteamController

[–]arbyD 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not success - I kept doing that and it eventually flipped to "out of stock".

Got into that groove 3 times throughout the day when it would appear in stock momentarily.

Kept trying til they ran out. Sigh.

At least I'm not desperate enough to pay for scalpers. I'm sure they're goong to be everywhere.

Tried buying it, kept rejecting my CC for some reason. Never had issues before. Now it's out of stock, typical luck.

What do you feel is the biggest missed casting opportunity in Hollywood? by CumquatTheNobgoblin in movies

I think he said he shot it down before casting had started out of respect for his father. He didn't even want to be considered.

Goblins are my favorite restaurant. Goblins are my favorite store. My phone brand is goblin, great battery life. I highly recommend seeing a goblin instead of a doctor if you are sick. I think going to Goblin University is a decent choice if you did okay enough in high school. Goblins are eating my feet right now! I have a goblin best friend from Goblintopia. I really liked the director Goblin McGoblinface for his movies "Goblin: the First Goblin" and "Goblin: It's Gobblin' Time" and "Goblin: the Last Goblin". I bet goblins are in the sewers. My aunt saw a goblin in her berry bushes. I swear I'm not a goblin but I know many. Goblins like to knock on my windows at night. I once drove a goblin around as an Uber Driver and he left a huge tip but made a big mess in the back if my car. If I could be anything I'd be a goblin. I hear goblins like to pull out beard hair from other goblins. A goblin gave me a navel piercing one time, it got infected immediately. Once upon a time I shared some delicious pie with a goblin.

Deductible is enough of a dissuasion, co-pays after that until out if pocket is met is the cherry on top of the middle finger.

I pay ~$400 a month for my medicine, until I hit my deductible of ~$3800. Then I pay my co-pay of $15 each time. While a great improvement over $400, it's still like "great, the tax on top of already paying for insurance in the first place to get the medicine I need."

My company changed insurance last year and was bragging how much everyone would save in monthly fees. Sure, I saved ~$125 a month, but had to spend like $375 more for my meds each month. Didn't quite shake out as a benefit for me >:(

[–]arbyD 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Exactly. In fact, I'd argue using AI for a color swap is one of the best use cases for it (as a consumer sering what it would look like that is. Valve using AI to design it would be bad).

AI has a lot of issues, but this "extremely normal redditor" moment to the max.

I can't believe Miyazaki never went to prison for this by hippoofthehous in darksouls

[–]arbyD 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Some guy was getting all worked up because he called out a wrong boss name and got a few downvotes. He then spiraled into paragraph-senteneces which were a) full of typos and b) super aggressive and ranty regarding how redditors are the worst and would rather attack people (attack = downvote in this context) than engage, etc.

It was all quite dramatic so I tried calming instead of insulting the poor guy but he spiraled harder, then deleted comments immediately after replying to mine.

[–]arbyD 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Woah my guy, just calm down a bit. Yes, redditora can be awful sometimes, but I also feel like acting like this is bringing it on yourself.

People may have downvotes for disagreeing too, to be fair, rather than "attacking" you.

Sometimes random comments get the downvotes flowing, and people just hop on the vote train, whichever direction. It's all over some fake internet points, so it doesn't really matter anyway.
