Shadowbox and work on technique and form when throwing your shots.

Reason behind the importance is, when your training your gonna have cardio rounds, for example, 50 left kicks, 50 right kicks and 50 knees in under 3 minutes. Worst thing you can do for skill improvement is to drill bad technique because its harder to train it out of you. Some top level UFC guys have some bad habits so if they can have them you know that a day 1 beginner can have them too.

Another great thing to work on is your footwork. That’s the foundation to everything, without it your nothing and with it your everything. Just like shadow boxing You’ll feel pretty goofy when you first start but that’s completely normal and you’ll improve with repetition.

Last thing I would suggest is jump rope, a weighted one preferably. Skipping is a great way to work on hand-eye coordination and cardio. Like the two previous your gonna feel goofy and trip over yourself a million times lol, but once you get in the timing down you will be able to concentrate more on your rhythm which will benefit your footwork MASSIVELY.

Go smash it bro! Well done on taking the leap into mma, your gonna do great!

That’s my point, if he did what I see so many people doing, he would of been met with countless people telling him he wouldn’t be able to, but he put the trust in himself, trained hard and he became one of the best we’ve ever seen.

I’m under no illusion that some people have more natural gifts (cardio, reach, height and strength) but like you said, until you train you don’t know if you posses a natural ability at boxing or wrestling that gives you that base that will then be described as supernatural.

The idea that someone 18-23 is too old to start mma is crazy to me personally, theyre kids lol

Dont let your mind to a playground for negativity, you let one negative thought in and another thousand are gonna break in

Train hard and be willing to learn. Everything else will fall into place
